CHAPTER - 10

Siddhant goes to talk to his dad whereas roli goes to her room to freshen up ..

Siddhant narrates the incident that took place in the party to Rajendra .

Rajendra got infuriated hearing that there was an attack on roli . He even reprimanded Siddhant for leaving her alone thinking about other possible events that could have been taken place .

Siddhant : dad don’t worry , I have asked our men to collect the cctv footage of the hall where the party was hosted . I am sure that from this , we will get a clue about that person who is behind roli .

Rajendra: what about the previous attacks ? Did you get any information about it ?

Flashback :

When the news flashed about the six men dead who were said to be died in an accident as the driver was drunk but in actual was shot by Siddhant .

Siddhant received a call from Rajendra , in which Rajendra said to sid that something was fishy as when he tried to know the details of kittu and his gang .. he came to know that they work as henchmen for someone and for the outside world their worked as truck drivers and mechanics . Their prime work was to threaten and murder people not robbery. Hence it was planned to murder roli .

Siddhant assured Rajendra that he will get to the depth of this issue . And later got to know that the truck which was about to hit roli that day morning belongs to kittu . So sid had asked his men to find out to whom kittu works for ?

Siddhant : dad , from kittu’s family members I got to know that he works under some mafia king .

Rajendra: mafia king ???!!! But in this city there are only two mafia’s - us and the Divedi’s . If he doesn’t work for us ? Then does he work under Jamna ?? If even yes why would he want to kill his own daughter ?

Siddhant : no dad . I asked jamnalal ji yesterday night at the function if any kittu works under them .. he denied knowing such a person . To confirm more .. I asked one of our men to call Jamnalal ji from a PCO and say himself as kittu and apologise for failing to kill roli . And I was right in front of him when he got the call and his expressions & reaction confirmed that he doesn’t have any connections with kittu or his men .

Rajendra : then who is this new mafia king ??

Siddhant : maybe any aspiring mafia who wants to be the sole mafia king of the city . Thus in a process to eliminate us and the diwedi’s .

Rajendra: hmm.. Siddhant find him before he causes any irreparable damage . And yeah no need to inform roli about these things and I will have a word with jamna regarding the same .. let him be alert too .

Siddhant : okay dad .

Siddhant goes to his room and sees roli as usual sitting and thinking something .. he sighed and goes to freshen up .

Whereas Roli was drowning into her thoughts . Siddhant came out and sees her still in the same position .

Siddhant sighs and takes his laptop and sits in the bed resting his head in the head board ..and opens his laptop and gets engaged into his office works .

Roli notices Siddhant .

Roli : Siddhant ji ....can I ask you one question ?

Siddhant ( without moving his eyes from the laptop ) : hmm.. yeah .. and you just did one.... right ?

Roli : seriously 😑 Siddhant ji ?!

Roli frowns ....

Roli : ok .. then can I ask you two questions?

Siddhant : yeah .. you just did ..

Roli : when ?

Siddhant ( he turns and sees her with a smirk ) : now !

Roli : argh !! Siddhant ji ....

Siddhant : hmm..

Roli : please na .. just two more questions

Siddhant : ok fine.. ask fast

Roli : why did they try to kidnap me ? And what would have happened if I failed to escape from them ? And who ..

Siddhant : you said only two questions roli ..

Roli rolls her eyes .

Roli : ok fine .. now answer na

Siddhant : Answer ?? Excuse me Mrs.mafia queen , you said that you wanted to ask me two questions and I granted permission only for that .. And no where I said that I will give you an answer for your question..

Roli fumes hearing that ..

Roli : okay fine .. don’t answer .. from this minute na .. I will never ask you any questions.. if I ask .. then .. haan .. I will change your name ..

Siddhant : then better find another name .... wait what ? Change my name ?

Roli : haan .. because I am happy with my name .

She gets up from the couch and storms out of the room .

Siddhant : idiot !

Night ,

The Bhardwaj family have their dinner and then goes back to their respective rooms .

Siddhant goes to the bed and lays down to sleep . Roli too goes to her couch with her blanket and a pillow to sleep .

She sits there holding her pillow and goes to her thinking mode .

The lights in the room was disturbing Siddhant’s sleep .. he turned and saw roli staring at the ceiling narrowing her eyebrows..

Siddhant : what is your problem roli ??

Roli : I have tons of problem and one among them is asking me what is my problem .. ( Siddhant rolls his eyes ) .. but Why did they planned to kidnap me when I haven’t caused any trouble to anyone till date ?

Siddhant : roliiii , how am I supposed to know that ? Do one thing , next time If anyone kidnaps you then before escaping from them ...ask them the reason .. why they kidnapped you .. then run away from there okay ?... now switch off the light and sleep ... and moreover why do you always think ..and give work to your brain .. which doesn’t exist ?!!

Roli frowns seeing him ..

Siddhant : okay .. tell me one thing , here from day 1 .... you are been thinking about Sharma , me , your death , our family’s rivalry and shadow atlas .. what is the output ? Did you even find a single answer to your billions of questions ?

Roli : billions ? It may be just five or six questions .. so don’t exaggerate it .

Siddhant ( sarcastically ) : yeah ! Very important correction now ..

Roli frowns

Siddhant : now tell me did you even find a single answer to your questions ?

She nods her negative indicating No

Siddhant : see .... output = 0 .. then for what joy you are spoiling your sleep and my sleep . ( roli takes her mouth to one side ) Better switch off the light and sleep now .. Good night !

Roli murmurs : kadoos

Siddhant : I heard it ..

Roli switches off the light and sits in the couch .

Roli’s mind voice : roli , great insult !! It’s high time .. you should prove to this kadoos who are you ! But how ??

She thinks for a while ...

She stood up and went to cupboard where she had arranged her things and took her diary and a pen .. then takes the blanket from the couch and her phone .

She went to one corner of the room and placed her diary , pen and Mobile .... and sat down there and covered herself with the blanket .. and inside the blanket she took her phone and switched on the flashlight .. and kept it against the wall making it stand .. and then opened her diary and started writing ...

• Why did siddhant ji kill Sharma when he is also someone like Siddhant ji who does illegal things ? And why did he submit the evidences which proves that the Sharma is a criminal ?
• Why did diwedi’s and Bhardwaj’s became rivals ?
• Why sasu maa and mataji are so ignorant about it ?
• Who is shadow atlas ? Is he good or bad
• Who are they who tried to kidnap me and why ?

She drew a big question mark under these list of questions ..

Roli to herself : hmm.... should I just hire a detective to find all the answers to my questions ?! But how will they find out , when being in this house itself I can’t find anything..... Come on roli .. think .. you have seen almost all episodes of CID , crime patrol , adaalat ... think ... hmm... ok let’s start from the base ... Who will know about these mafias -

1. themselves ....
2. Their family
3. Enemies
4. Police
5. Friends

So, now from whom can I get to know my answers ?!

Siddhant ji - ( she lifts the blanket and turns and sees him who was lying peacefully and sleeping .. then again covers the blanket over her head ) 0% probability.

Family - ( she thinks about her talks with the family members) NO

Friends - do they even have one ?

His colleagues or clients or employees?! Hmm will they leak such information to me ....if they are greedy then they might ....let this be in my check list .....will try .... ✔️

Enemies- first have to find them , but looking at his activities , his enemies will also be criminals only ....how many criminals can I deal with when I can’t even handle one ?!

Police - ( she remembers sid saying that they are in his pockets ) a direct Big NO

So now what to do ,

Racking her brain for five whole minutes

Something strikes her mind

Wait , that ACP ....yes ....he looks like a honest officer .....against the mafia .....an enemy .....not a criminal ....a police too and he was not scared of Siddhant ji ....and he doesn’t look like one who can be bought with money or bribe. But if I go to the police station only , he will get the information that I am in station... wait .. how does it bother ? any way he will get to know in one or the other way ..

So .. it’s time to meet the ACP !!

She removes the blanket and put it in the couch and then places the diary and pen in her cupboard.. and then takes her phone and remembers how Siddhant woke her up with his so called Alarm ..

And then sets alarm and goes to sleep .

The next day ,

She wakes up earlier than Siddhant and gets freshen up ..

then goes down to the kitchen and sees Sujatha making coffee for everyone .

Roli : good morning maa ji .

Sujatha : you ?! What are you doing here ?

Roli : maa ji what kind of question is this ? Why will anyone come to kitchen ..

Sujatha : people come to kitchen to cook .. but you look like that category of people who enters the kitchen only to eat .

Roli : hello maa ji , even I know to cook a bit okay .. you know I have made Oreo chocolate milkshake , custard , pani poori , pizza , ...

Sujatha : how did those turn out ?!

Roli : that .. milkshake was little burnt and custard .. by mistake I poured the milk without boiling .. but yeah the pani poori and pizza turned out really good you know .

Sujatha : I don’t know ..

Roli : ohh ! That’s why you mistook me .. it’s okay .. I will make you a nice desert today .. but before that I need energy ..

She takes a cup of coffee placed in the tray and drinks it ..

Sujatha raises her eye brow seeing that .

Roli : wow !! You really make good coffees maa ji .. you know what when you are free teach me how to make this okay

Sujatha : wait you don’t know how to make a coffee ??

Roli : woh .. when coffee maker is there it is just enough to know how to operate it right ?? ( sheepishly smiles ) .. okay fine .. now I have an important work .. so bye maaji..

She rushes outside the kitchen and goes to Rajendra and asks if she can call her guest to home ?? He agrees to it thinking that it will be better than roli going out to meet that person .

Siddhant wakes up and doesn’t find roli around ..

Siddhant : today did the sun rise on the west or what ? She woke up early that too before me ??

He sighs and goes to freshen up and then comes down and sees roli walking in front of the main door .

Siddhant : roli ..

Roli turns and finds him standing ..

Roli : good morning Siddhant ji

Siddhant’s mind voice : good morning ?? Waking up early ...Something is fishy

Siddhant : Good morning.. and ..why are you jogging in front of the main door ??

Roli : jogging ?? Me ?? Hello .. I am waiting to welcome a person who I have invited to home .

Siddhant : whom did you invite ??

Roli : that is .....

Roli turns and finds ACP standing there ..

Superb update. RoSid scenes are funny as usual. So Roli decided to take ACP's help. I don't know why but I feel it may bring in trouble for her. ACP seems so against Sid. I guess his enmity with Sid may lead Roli towards trouble later. Maybe I'm just overthinking😆 But, in between all these, I'm hoping to see jealous Sid🤪
