When you are unmarried you can make decisions for yourself ( it freeing and burdensome at the same time). But once you are marrried, you become a unit with the other person. Retaining a part of you that is not privy to your spouse becomes that much more difficult.

So basically everything changes after you are married- It may not seem so at first, but it catches up to you eventually.
