Yes, it’s actually very considerate of him and shows that he’s a man of character. He knows if he initiates, she might respond but it might only be because she feels obliged or she will give in because he wants it. Raghav wants to make sure that whenever they share an intimate relationship, it’s because she wants him as much as he wants her.
Idk if someone else shares my sentiment, but in today’s scene, Raghav’s eyes didn’t leave her for a second as if he was trying to read her reactions. Trying to figure out if she’s there yet and I guess he was quite content with the progress, however slow it might feel to some ❤️
I would expect nothing less from a man like him. It would be beneath him in terms of morals and dignity otherwise.
He was observing her but I think just coming clean about what happened that night made it easier for him to focus on them both in the moment and less on his guilt (which we've all been saying has created a bit of a mental block for him).
I see this as a continuation of what would/could have happened in the drunk scene when he put her to bed. She made it very clear what she wanted and same thing with first her desperation to be with him in jail no matter what, followed by her asking him to remove his shirt. This time she wasn't nonchalant about it, her hands were shaking and her gaze wasn't as steady on him as it usually is. He knows the effect he has on her and today he realized that she wasn't just caring for him as his wife, but also feeling for him.
This is all leading up to him starting to care about his own happiness with her because we all know what comes next. Without these sequences, Mandaar's entry wouldn't have the same impact. Raghav has never expressed his feelings about intimacy, he's never actively tried to touch her lovingly while sober like he did with her hair today, while looking into his eyes. She didn't move away or look uncomfortable so he knew she was ok with it. Same thing with the way she was looking at him in the bathroom. She wasn't just his nurse but also his companion, and he was starting to see her as the balm to his wounds. I think that's what they were trying to portray in that scene, though it didn't quite come off 100%, but I get it.
At the end of this track I guess he's going to fully accept that she's family too, even though his heart has known it for a while.
