Maan comes out of the past...

How could he expect Geet to tell him about Aditi....

It's the same Geet who asked him to get out....

Still it's not her decision to hide such a big part of his life from him...

Maan: Geet, tumme ek bar bhi meri yaad nahi aayi jab tumme hummare bache ke barein mein patha chala, meinne aaise kya kardhiya jo tumme mujhse itne nafrat ho gayi

Geet: aap ne kya kiya? Aapki bahut badi galti toh yahi hai ki aapne kuch bhi nahi kiya, aap khayar ho jo sach ke samne karne se darkke bhaag gaye the

Maan: mein bhaag gaya tha? just think twice before you blame me like always, how stupid I'm to expect you to think before you act, had you given another thought that time, we wouldn't have suffered like this

Geet: how did you suffer?

Maan: jo bhi ho, tumme toh ek bar mujhe bathane ki koshsish toh karna tha Geet, ye tumne teek nahi kiya

Geet: ek bar bhi koshsish nahi ki? dekha aap abhi bhi nahi badale, aap ke lagne se duniya nahi chaltha Mr.Khurana, sach woh nahi hotha jo aap ko lagtha hai, aap ko toh sach ka samna karne ki himmat kahan hai?

Maan: mein sach ko samne karne se nahi dartha, lekhin mujhse se zabardasthi sach chupaya gaya

Geet: aap sach jaanna chahthe ho? toh suno

Geet thinks Maan at least has the right to know what happened, then he would stop judging Geet and stop troubling her.... she wants to put an end to this before she could take Dev's hand...

Geet starts narrating the past......... going back to the past....

it's Diwali day.... Geet is in Amristar at her Nani's place....

gharwalon se ladh ladhke Geet tak chuki hai... she just wants to be left alone....

Geet doesn't even care about the festivities...

she has been confined to her room not even knowing how many days have passed like that....

everyday is just the same for her... she lost interest in everything...

Lucky comes to ask Geet to come and join everyone in the Diwali pooja at least....

Geet gets ready and comes down after a long time....

at the pooja she feels dizzy and faints....

she has been neglecting food and her mental health is also in bad shape....

everybody thought that it's just fatigue due to poor eating...

but later they find out that Geet is pregnant...

No one but Geet was happy hearing the news....

after a week long family discussions it's decided that Geet drops the baby....

Geet would rather give her life to save the baby than living without it.....

with the help of her neighbor Sameera didi Geet went to Delhi and tired all the ways to find about Maan, Geet had his address and Canada number.... she went and sought the help of the Canadian embassy....

no body knew about his whereabouts.... he has been missing from home for a long time...

not even the well known detective Pummy could find a clue....

Geet's health deteriorated in the process and that would affect the baby....

Sameera came to Geet's rescue by putting some sense back into her.....

she told Geet that it's not necessary that every child has to have a father but every child needs a mother to survive in this world...

she gave Geet the confidence that Geet can take care of herself and her child without anyone's help...

she made Geet realize the fact that someone who ran away from his responsibilities his ladylove can never be a responsible father....

it was then that Geet decided that neither Geet nor her child need Maan in their life ....

she is firm in her decision even now, if she becomes weak seeing Maan then all her struggles to come this far would become meaningless.....

Maan knows that he was really a irresponsible drug addict jerk at that time......

Dev is Sameera's cousin brother, mausi's son.....

he used to come to Sameera's place with Gayathri every summer....

Gayathri knows Geet from childhood.... Dev and Geet are playmates from childhood as Geet also spent her summer holidays in Amritsar only....

though Dev is little elder they are still good friends......

since Geet's family disowned her Geet was staying with Sameera, but Sameera had to go to her sasuraal and then she asks Geet to go and stay with Gayathri who lived alone then while Dev was studying in Canada....

That's how Geet came to Lucknow and Gayathri took care of Geet like her daughter....

Dev became so much attached to Aditi and Geet became a part of their family in no time....

Gayathri insisted that Geet and Dev get engaged and Geet couldn't say no to her....

Dev loves Aditi as his daughter but he realized about Geet's hesitations and kept postponing the marriage....

Dev could never see anyone else as Aditi's step-father.... he has been waiting for Geet's acceptance of Dev as a part of their tiny mother daughter family.... slowly and steadily he has found his way into Geet's heart.....

Maan feels that Geet is right in a way and she deserves someone like Dev who was there for her in when she needed Maan....

Maan has no right to take his place.....

Maan leaves without further arguing with Geet.....

he is at least happy to know that Geet did try to reach him when she found out about Aditi....

but it still hurts to know that Geet only needed him as a father and not otherwise....

Maan is now a proud father, yes, I've a daughter, little Aditi....

though he already knew that it's very special after Geet herself confirmed it......

Everyone is enjoying their drink and having a good time dancing to the tunes of the light romantic music playing at the background...

Dev wants to shake a leg with Geet...

he asks Geet for a dance and they start dancing....

Maan couldn't see Geet with anyone else... he is hurt...

he moves from that place to go and find Aditi...

Aditi gives good company to Maan... he forgets about his pain when he is with her...

though Geet is dancing with Dev her attention is somewhere else...

after the dance Dev asks Maan to join them...

Maan: Dev, ye party kissliye hai, abhi toh bathao

Dev: kya Maan tum bhi bar bar yahi poochthe rehthe ho yaar? meine kaha na ye suspense hai, abhi toh party enjoy karo, climax ke liye waqt hai, come let's go and feast

Geet is impressed by the platter full of her favorite items...

Dev: toh Geet, did I score enough to get a pass mark?

Geet: I don't know how you did this Dev, but you have passed with flying colors, I'm worried that I'll lose my job

Dev: don't worry Geet, Dev works only for Geet, not everyone, haina Maan?

Dev winks at Maan for only Dev knows who has done all this....

Geet enjoys each and every dish including the lassi...

she is having some of those items after a long time....

after Aditi came into her life Geet's priorities have changed totally...

it's always about Aditi and her favorite things.....

for once Geet feels free like she has gone back to her childhood shunning all the responsibilities and living the present moment without worrying about neither the past nor the future....

it's like she has got her life back after a long time, how she wishes that this lasts for the rest of her life....

it's not something impossible Geet, whenever Maan is with you your life is sorted and you should first accept the fact that Maan does make a huge difference in your life...

life without Maan is like living like a zombie for Geet...

but for Aditi Geet would have turned mad by now....

babaji is kind enough to Geet in this matter...

Geet keeps a check on Aditi before heading for the desserts and Aditi is teaching rhymes to Maan.....

Geet doesn't know if that sight brings her joy that both of them are happy or anger that Maan deprived Geet of those little joys of life all these years, chado, Geet toh aaj ladhne ke mood mein nahi hai

she heads to the Rasagulla counter and after having the sweet Rasagullas her mood bhi teek ho jaathi

she goes to take Aditi from Maan... Maan is more than happy for the time he got to spend with Aditi...

Dev makes an announcement...

Dev: ladies and gentlement, can i have your attention please

all of them gather around Dev, Dev asks Geet to join him...

Geet and Aditi go and look at the delicious cake on the table....

Dev: so do you want to know what are we celebrating tonight

chorus: yes yes yes

Dev: you all know Geet, my business partner

everyone's eyes are on Geet now...

Dev: come closer Geet

Geet comes forward and is looking at Maan only....

Dev: Geet is not just my business partner but also my life partner, I'm happy to share this good news with all of you, we're getting married coming September

there is a huge round of applause and everyone rush to congratulate the couple...

Maan is the first one to share his happiness....

he hugs Dev and wishes Geet.... he takes Aditi from Geet so that Geet can enjoy her precious moment without any hurdle....

Geet expected Maan to get the shock of his life instead Maan's silence is a shocker for Geet....

Maan doesn't resent but is also not so happy as he looks...

luckily for him he has got Aditi, he could distract himself easily....

Part - 41

Geet may be standing with Dev acknowledging the wishes but her heart is roaming around restlessly trying to come to peace with the decision of her mind....

Geet is surrounded by people and they are blocking her view of Aditi....

After a few formal conversations she couldn't stay there without knowing where her daughter is..... she excuses herself and goes to find Aditi playing with Maan....

Geet is skeptical about Maan's disclosure about his truth to Aditi for she doesn't easily bonds with strangers.... wah wah Geet, Maan kab se stranger ban gaya?

Geet shayad bhool gayi ki there is something called blood relationship.....

Geet ko bohut dar lagtha ki Maan iss shadhi ke bahaane Aditi ko Geet se cheen lega.....

how dare him? who is he to even show himself in front of Aditi?

what right does he have?

If not for herself but for Aditi Geet should stay away from Maan .....

Geet runs and snatches Aditi from Maan.....

Poor Aditi is confused by her mother's weird act....

Maan: sambhalke Geet, Aditi is fine, you go and enjoy the party

Geet: meri beti se dhoor rahe toh achcha hoga

Maan is not at all angry hearing that..... he knows his limits.....

Maan knows very well that someone doesn't become a father just by chance, by an act of natural urges at a weak moment........... Though Maan didn't do it for some guilty pleasure but his act was out of pure love for Geet which he wished would last for a lifetime, he had zero expectations to be a father at that time.... that's the truth and Maan is not someone to bend truth to his convenience....

Neither does a girl becomes a mother by giving him company, but the moment a child is conceived inside her womb she becomes a mother irrespective of the circumstances of her union and irrespective of her partner in the crime, if one could say so.......

Maan: Geet, Aditi is all yours, no one has any right over her other than you Geet, by the way congrats once again and I wish you a very happy married life with Dev

Maan turns around and starts walking away from Geet and his daughter..... he has taken the painful but right decision to walk away from Geet's life and this time never to return.....

Until now he has been hanging on to his love in the little hope of finding his last love back one day....

He never tried to find Geet for this is what he was afraid of, he never wanted to find out that Geet has moved on, that Geet never really missed his love, that she doesn't need Maan, that she has found love in her life again.......

Maan was happy to live with the belief that wherever Geet may be, however she may be, she'll never be able to forget her first love.... so they say.... but it's not always true.... is it?

Whatever it is, Maan would continue to love Geet, and now Aditi too.... but he is not going to intrude in their beautiful family that they've, a pristine relationship that they built with Dev in these five years....

Maan was the one who ran away, is running away and will be running away......

Next day Maan asks Adi to book the next available ticket to Canada....

Maan can't stay here, the more he is far away for Geet the better....

The moments he is with Geet are very addictive, just like his addiction to alcohol, there is also a faulty gene in his body that makes him an addict of Geet, there is something about her that is intoxicating to Maan and Maan alone....

Now that he has found out that Geet has happily moved on he has no right to even think about her....

but he is just a human, he has not yet mastered the art of sainthood...

Maan can't stop thinking about Geet....

He might not have control over his mind but he can control his actions...

that's why he is going to take the same route as before, the social distancing root, the new addtion to our day to day vocabulary, but this is not a metre distance, it's miles and miles away....

Adi booked the ticket.... it's on the next weekend....

Maan is fully confused as to how he would spend these two weeks without meeting Geet....

he knows what to do, yes, run Maan run, run to Delhi....

Adi has booked from the KC account and the whole Khurana pariwaar is upset with the news...

it's a shocker for Dadi the most....

what about Dadi's plans of getting Maan hooked up with Pari..... Maan is going to leave even before attending Pari's brother's wedding....

dadi is actually disappointed with Pari, she couldn't make Maan fall for her when she was in Mumbai...

dadima, Pari is not Geet, Geet hothi toh Maan abhi tak shadhi bhi karletha.... ya toh shadhi ke pehle Honeymoon pe chale jaatha....

Shadhi ke pehle bache paitha kar saktha toh honeymoon kaise nahi mana saktha?

Maan ko toh uss ke liye kahin romantic jagah pe jaane ki zaroorat bhi nahi padthi, Geet saath hai toh har pal romantic ban hi jaatha, haina?

lekhin ab Maan uss mood mein nahi hai.....

He has just realized that he is not all alone now, he is not at his own will now, he has the responsibility of Aditi, Geet may neither need him as a partner nor as a parent but Maan is Aditi's father....

If he is not aware of the truth then it's different, but now he knows about his responsibilities....

Maan knows very well that Geet doesn't want him to share her responsibilities as Aditi's parent...

Geet has every right to keep him away from her life, and maybe from Aditi too as long as she is not convinced that Aditi has to know about her father......

Geet has every right to either tell about Maan or not to Aditi....

Maan is not expecting Geet to introduce him to Aditi as her father in their next meeting....

but Aditi has every right as Maan's child..... Geet can't take that away from Aditi.....

Maan is not bothered about his identity being hidden from Aditi if Geet feels Maan doesn't deserve to own her child, but she can't stop him from performing his duties as a father staying anonymous ...

The real reason of Dadi bringing Maan to India is to pay Maan his dues, rather his inherited dues of his father.....

The Khurana Constructions is his father's brainchild and he has put his blood and soul in establishing KC.... Unfortunately he left everything behind when he had a rift with Maan's Dadaji....

Mohan, Maan's uncle has been living with the burden of taking care of his brother's share, or to put it in straight words, to enjoy the fruits of his brother's hard work without giving him his more than deserving share.....

dadi transferred the rightful properties on Maan's name and gave him the documents the first day itself when he came back....

Maan was not ready to take it for he doesn't have any idea of coming to India....

Maan was planning to give it back to Vicky and Annie itself....

now Maan want's to split it into three parts, one part for Vicky, one for Annie and the last not for himself but for Madan Khurana's very own grand daughter and the rightful owner of his properties, Aditi....

it's bad luck that Aditi couldn't carry on the family surname but that doesn't mean she is not a Khurana, she is a hard core Khurana....

Maan knows how to escape this time, he has to take care of the paper works and for that he has to go to Delhi....

Maan isn't ready to waste time looking for the flight tickets and moreover he always takes solace in long drives in turbulent times like this..... the real medicine for his broken heart has always been alcohol that gives him good company along with some old songs of Mohamad Rabi in those long drives...

Maan hits the road without notice and the already shaken Khurana khandan is in total havoc by his missing.... they already have a lot of experience that's enough to scare them for their entire lifetime...

Maan switches off his mobile too.... he takes a break to get himself ready to part with his daughter which seems impossible.... but he has no other go....

Dev is informed about the missing and the news reaches Geet too....

Geet is happy that at last she could get rid of that guilty feeling that she might be somewhat biased in her decisions..... now she knows she is right, she made the right decisions for herself and most importantly Aditi....

she thanks her babaji for all his guidance and keeps praying for his guidance in the future also....

Geet can console herself by lying to her conscience that she is least bothered about Maan but the truth is she is devastated as if she has lost something that she just found after having lost it for years... yes, she is not so happy as she claims to be.....

Dev tries calling Maan constantly....

Geet says that it's no use for they can only find Maan whenever he wants them to find him....

experience speaking......

Dadi sends Vicky to Mumbai.... Vicky comes and meets Dev....

he also finds out about Geet but Dev introduces her and Adity as his family.....

Geet too pretends to be least bothered, Vicky thinks that this is the reason for his brother's missing for the second time too....

he is really pissed off with Geet and he immediately returns to Delhi and makes arrangements to watch the flight bookings for Canada....

now the whole Khurana family is angry with Geet....... they have the impression that Geet married Dev and settled happily while Maan ruined his life thinking about her.....

Part - 42

Dadi is very upset for she feels that she has been the reason for Maan's pain for the second time now...

Maybe Maan is better off left alone in peace in Canada itself rather than come back to his long lost family in India and get himself hurt like this again and again....

Maybe it's a curse on her family that they have to live apart and now she is fully convinced to send Maan back immediately....

she would rather be happy if Maan has already boarded a flight back to Canada.... dhoor hi sahi par Maan toh chain se jiyega, haina?

As Maan's mobile is switched off Adi calls Mohan to give a message to Maan....

Adi: Vicky sir woh Maan sir

Mohan: Adi , Maan bhai aagaye? kahan hai woh?

Adi: ha ha ha ha ha ha

Mohan: Adiiiiiiii

Adi: sir, Maan sir ko ek message dena hai?

Mohan: Adi, ye koi mazak nahi hai, tum bhi janthe ho ki Maan bahi ka koi news nahi hai

Adi: woh issiliye toh meine aapko call kiya hai sir

Mohan: seedhe seedhe bathao Adi, kya baat hai?

Adi: woh Maan sir ke flight cancel ho gayi

Mohan: what? Maan hi lapatha hai ab usski ticket ka kya karenge? Flight kab ka tha?

Mohan is now little hopeful that if Maan had plans of returning then he will eventually come back like last time, actually that didn't strike anyone in all the confusion

Adi: Ji sir, next Sunday ka flight hai, woh flight cancel ho gayi, they are asking if he wants to cancel or book the next week end flight

Mohan: Adi, that's ok, you just book the ticket, Maan would want it

Adi: teek hai sir

Mohan: I think Maan'll be back by Sunday, I pray to God that Maan returns safely to Canada

So Maan's flight is delayed for a week.....

Mohan informs Savithri ji about the news.... everyone hopes that Maan would definitely return...

Savithri asks Mohan to direct Adi not to inform about the flight postponement if Maan calls Adi by any chance....

Annie is also now happy to send her bhai back safe and she is not going to compel him to stay for Arjun's cousin's wedding.....

As Maan hits the roads he can't stop himself from thinking about the past....

That time when Maan's dreams shattered all of a sudden and he lost his hard earned trust in family and relationships....

Maan's philosophy that the only one who is with you forever is you yourself and not even your shadow which too disappears when darkness prevails, has been once again proved right.....

After the marriage got cancelled Maan thought that he has got back his freedom, his freedom to be himself doing whatever he wants without worrying about future....... whatever happened is for the better, for he need not worry about anyone and be the boss of his life again, there is no more promises to keep and that prompted him to go back to his so called carefree world, the intoxicated imaginary world.....

When he got back to his routine life in Canada he started missing something, all his plans with his life with Geet kept haunting him, the University messages filled his inbox with reminders to complete the enrollment process.... Maan had already filled an application for Geet in the course of her interest, he was planning a surprise wedding gift for her and he would welcome her to Canada with this good news.... but all that became a unfulfilled dream and Maan felt that he has lost control of his own life and someone else has started dictating his life which he could never accept, he is his own boss and no one else could ever change that, he had to prove that point to himself and so he started doing drugs again.... He wandered all over the country like a lonely traveler connecting with his old substance abuse pals going to their places one after the other....

That's when Geet tried to reach him and failed terribly...... However after Geet's inquiries Maan's friend sam was contacted to know about his whereabouts.... she got worried about him missing and she found Maan and put him in rehab....

The Khurana's were also worried about Maan after Maan stopped answering their calls and they were in constant touch with sam......

Vicky even wanted to come to Canada but he had some visa issues, before that was cleared Maan himself contacted Dadi after he went to rehab and told her that he is fine and he had gone backpacking to refresh.....

Maan slowly took charge of his life again but he was feeling lonely mostly disinterested in everything....

Maan had to find an alternative for his weakness or else he was so vulnerable that the danger of going back in bad habits was the easy option always.....

Maan then started visiting his uncle's restaurant regularly and he diverted his attention spending time there..... he became a workaholic instead and turned into a perfect businessman just like his father...

Maan learned all the tricks quickly and expanded the restaurant starting a fast food joint and also a cafeteria for youngsters....

He kept innovating and experimenting with the menu too.... He found solace in his work but the other times were still miserable with the thoughts of Geet and recalling memories of his times spent in India....

Maan only knows how the past five years have passed with the constant struggle between his urge to meet Geet once and the unknown fear of getting to know that he might have lost her forever.... Maan was rather happy to live with whatever lovely memories he had made with Geet than to spoil everything after seeing her with someone else..... Then Maan will feel guilty of living with the memories of someone else's wife and will be deprived of the only source of his living, a false hope of some kind of a reunion and he'd be forced to move on too....

Now his wish to meet Geet once has been fulfilled and also his worst fear has come true.... Geet is with someone else and Maan could only wish her luck as a well wisher............

The only happy news for him is to know about his daughter Aditi.... At least he has finally found something to keep him going for the rest of his life.... All these years Geet's memories kept him going but there was always this uncertainty about his reviving contacts with Geet ever....

But no matter what the circumstances are Aditi will always be his daughter, no one can change that or deny his right as a father, not even Geet.....

Maan wants Geet to introduce him to Aditi as her father for she has got the first rights over that decision and it's always up to her to take that decision.... Maan'll wait till then....

Maan will make sure that his daughter gets to know the truth about her father one day for sure...

Even if Geet doesn't tell the truth ever Maan would make sure he leaves behind a beautiful home back in Canada for her to spend her vacations with her future family.... He'll write a will and make sure she gets his first and last gift as her rightful father.... that day she'll get to know her real father...

Maan should make sure she is proud of her father that day........ Maybe Geet'll change her mind by then.... His driving force is now Aditi.... but his heart still beats for Geet.....

No matter what Geet does Maan can never stop loving her....

Maan wants to make a small change in the paper works....

Maan takes his mobile to contact the lawyer....

He then finds a lot of mails and messages from everyone....

He expected that and he is angry with himself for troubling his family.... Maan feels he should send a message so that all stop worrying about him...

Maan talks to the lawyer and sends a message to Dadi....

He again switches off his mobile...

Maan didn't even see the ticket cancellation messages....

His mind was stuck on seeing a lot of messages from Dev.... And not even a single message from where he expected....

Maan actually wanted to see whether his absence does make any difference to Geet....

Koi farak nahi pada?

Maybe Maan has lost his earlier powers of reading Geet's eyes...

Maan thought he had seen a glimpse of his Geet, that Geet from whom Maan was the savior, at times....

That must have been his imagination for he was always looking for that Geet, for he kept believing that his Geet is hiding somewhere behind those soul less eyes that he sees....

For a moment Maan thought that it might have been Geet who prompted Dev to look out for Maan...

But he knows how private Geet is for she has kept her secrets to herself without sharing them with Dev all these years...

Dev also has never showed even the least interest in her past....

Maan actually believed that Geet is married to Dev initially for Dev treated Geet as his family....

Dev has so much trust in Geet that he is ready to accept her as she is along with her daughter without any second thoughts....

Geet truly deserves someone like Dev..... Maan should be happy for Geet.... He is but still his heart keeps longing for something more...

Part - 43

Maan has successfully passed a week on his way back to Delhi....

this time he couldn't touch alcohol though....

Everytime he tried to open a bottle he is reminded of her.....

no no not Geet, Aditi, his little princess....

he has yet to fulfill his duties.... he has to wait till he returns to his single life back in Canada....

Maan wanted to free his mind of his past, specially Geet but the whole time he just revisited the past and his happy days with Geet...

He has no regrets that Geet has moved on forgetting Maan, but b'coz of that she can't stop Maan from living in the past, haina?

He has such wonderful memories to live with for the rest of his life....

maybe he would stalk his daughter from Canada, he knows that Dev'll keep him updated if not Geet....

he can at least dream of meeting Aditi whenever Dev comes to Canada....

Maan knows Dev has a lot of friends in Canada and frequently visits them...

Maan can invite him once in a while, if Geet permits!!!!!!!!

Now he will have the future of his daughter along with the past of Geet to survive....

that's a very good improvement, haina?

Maan calls the lawyer and finishes all the formalitiesof the papers .........

Dadi is so happy to see Maan back....

Maan is not going to abscond this time, he has come to stay with his family for a few days and he'll be in constant touch with them......

Dadi asks Maan to forget Geet and just try to move on....

Dadi can't stop herself from bringing Geet in for all the troubles that Maan goes through......

Maan requests everyone not to blame Geet and be happy for Geet like how Maan is very happy for her.... his happiness lies in her happiness....

he doesn't tell about Aditi to anyone........

Annie changes her mind on seeing her brother broken.... she can't let him go back to his lonely self like this..... he badly needs someone in his life now..... Annie has to go back to implementing the wedding plans as per schedule....

Annie is adamant that Maan stays for her brother-in-laws wedding....

Annie has one last chance to try and work out something between Pari and Maan....

This wedding proposal would have been made official during Pari's brother's wedding itself if only Maan didn't meet Geet in Mumbai....

Annie too understands the fact that it's no use blaming poor Pari, she would have had zero chance while Geet was there....

Annie has brainwashed Pari's parents in the gap and they are almost certain that Maan is their damad........

Annie was so excited that she'll have the strong support of her bro in her sasuraal....

it's not that she has any problems, Arjun is Annie's katputli, still Maan's presence at their family gatherings would be different....

Annie likes Geet, but after the Handas took revenge for something that happened in the previous generation by rejecting Maan that too for no mistake of his is very harsh, now no one wants any kind of links with the Handas forever....

Maan requests Dadi that he wants to spend the week happily with the family for he doesn't know when he'll he meet them again....

Maan arranges a lavish party for the latest couple in the family, Vicky and Nian Tara.....

Maan wants to just enjoy the family time with his little brother and sister who have showered him with unconditional love and accepting him as their elder brother with due respect...

while he is disappointed with his failed love life he is not ready to punish his family b'coz of that like last time....

Maan wants to redeem himself by acknowledging their love and concern, he wants to show them that he is always grateful to be a part of this family.....

Maan gifts the Hoshiarpur farmland along with the Khurana farm house that Dadi gave him to Annie...

Maan transfers his share holdings in KC, Delhi business to Nian Tara's name....

Maan has the strong belief that once a girl leaves her home and comes to another home accepting it as her new home, she immediately becomes the princess of that new home and she has equal rights as the daughter in the family.....

Nian Tara is overwhelmed and she makes Maan her Rakhi brother.....

Maan is happy that though he has lost one relationship, he has found two new relationships to compensate, one as Aditi's father and the other as Nian Tara's brother....

It's Friday and Maan returns to Mumbai as per schedule though his flight is postponed for he doesn't want to postpone that important duty he has to perform for his daughter....

This time he is not running away from any of his responsibilities like a coward as Geet says, he is going to leave only when he is totally satisfied that he has taken care of all his responsibilities without any complaints....

Maan wants to meet Geet and see his daughter before leaving....

Maan calls Geet...... Geet is really happy to hear from Maan.... she was actually worried about him...

Geet is surprised that Maan is still in India....

Maan keeps calling Geet again and again....

Maan doesn't have much time to waste....

Maan knows Aditi's pre-school timings and is sure that Geet would herself come definitely to pick Aditi today.... she is very very over-protective being a single mother....

Maan goes to Aditi's class and waits for Geet...

he doesn't want to upset Geet by meeting Aditi on his own....

Geet comes carrying Aidti and talking to her....

Maan is waiting in the car just a little away from the school...

Maan gets out of the car and walks towards Geet....

Geet is scared seeing Maan there...

she thinks that Maan has come to take Aditi from her.......

Geet starts running........ Maan easily catches her and stops her......

Geet is agitated.... she tries to escape....

Maan: Geet, kabrao mat, I just wanted to see Aditi one last time before going back to Canada

Geet is shocked by his reaction....

she would have been happy had Maan fought with her for Aditi....

she had been waiting for that only all these days, how she wished she showed him his place and shoot him all the questions that would make him speechless....

she has always thought about such a situation when she could put him in the accused stand and list all his wrong doings, proving that he is guilty of each and every accusation

Geet has always thought of such a situation where Maan would try to misuse his so called rights as a father.....

where was he when Aditi and Geet needed him the most?

where was he when Geet wanted no one but Maan to share her happiness with?

where was he when all she wanted was only Maan by her side when she evolved from a girl into a mother.... how desperate she wanted to share each and every moment of Aditi's growth with Maan only.....

Geet keeps staring Maan for she has gone numb.....

Maan understands her insecurities very well....

Geet doesn't know how to react.... Maan has totally surrendered...

If only Maan just tries to fight over his rights over his beloved daughter Geet would vent out all her pent up anger in one go and would be relieved off the burden she has been carrying all the while....

Geet had always anticipated Maan to fight for Aditi's custody one day when she'd not even let him see her daughter and let him endure the pain just like Geet did in the past.....

But as usual Maan has chosen the easy way out instead of facing the battle field, Geet is very much disappointed that she lost out a chance to make Maan pay back.....

Now she too has to wear the diplomatic hat......

Geet let's Aditi down and steps back to make room for Maan....

Maan signals little Aditi to come closer....

she goes to him, Maan lift her in his arms and kisses her goodbye....

Maan then gives tan envelope to Geet....

Maan goes from there immediately.... Geet is still in a shock....

She can't say that she is happy now even though Maan has only given her what she wanted, freedom... freedom from her past.....

Geet keeps staring at Maan till his car vanishes from her sight....

Geet gets back to her senses only when Aditi pulls the envelope in her hand.....

Geet is confused looking at the envelope....

what would that be?

A letter for Aditi on her 18th birthday maybe, like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, where Maan has addressed her as her father..... maybe he has left it to Geet whether to give it to Aditi or not........

Geet thinks it's best to destroy it whatever it might be....

she doesn't want to have anything related to Maan with her that would keep haunting her....

Aditi is still looking at the direction where Maan went......

Geet is gazing the envelope as if it's something harmful for her and her Aditi....

Geet, you can destroy materialistic things but what about your memories? how will you get rid of them?

Geet hurries to tear and throw it away when Aditi snatches it from her....

Aditi is curious to know what that is? A new object for her observation......

Geet doesn't want to forcefully get it from little Aditi....

She leaves with Aditi while Aditi is examining how to play with that....

it's neither colorful nor has any fancy buttons on it....

After a while she throws it away.... Geet takes and keeps it safely....

Geet realizes that she should at least know what's in it before destroying it...

They have reached home and Dev is waiting for Aditi.... Aditi runs and Dev takes her in....

Geet again looks at the envelope which is not addressed but just sealed.....

It might be some message for Geet..... Geet can't ignore it for the thought of what was in Maan's mind would keep haunting her..... She should read it and then get rid of it along with her other memories of Maan forever.....

she is not ready to open it in public..... Is she so much ashamed of her association with Maan that she is embarrassed to even open the envelope given by him?

Geet hides it until she gets the time to read it alone.....

Aditi is fast asleep..... as if Aditi would be able to read it?

Geet opens the closet and pulls out the envelope....

She carefully opens it as if it's some treasure.... she wanted to destroy it an hour before....what happened?

Maybe she realized that if she had to get rid of everything given by Maan then what about Aditi?

Geet finds some documents in the cover.... Geet is disappointed for she was longing to have a feel of Maan's heart, what's running behind his sudden withdrawal from even Aditi... she needs answers for his silence... But Maan is Maan, he is only worried about his daughter's financial safety and doesn't care a damn about human feelings....

Is this the way to payback for all his mistakes.... Geet is right, she can never rely on such an escapist like Maan.....

she opens and reads it with the least interest .....

it's not for Aditi.... It's for Geet.... Maan has left something for Geet.......

Whatever it is Geet is not ready to accept any kind of favor from Maan.... She doesn't need his charity nor her daughter needs it..... She can take care of her daughter without anyone's help.....

Geet doesn't want anything that would remind her of Maan....

Next morning.....

Maan had a good night's sleep after a long time..... He has made peace with himself that his work in India is satisfactorily done and he is free to leave anytime without any worries.....

Maan leaves early to KC....

Maan is busy sorting things at KC and giving instructions to Adi ....

Maan is ready to leave but his heart is stuck here.....

Maan'll always be thinking about his lost life in India even when he would physically live in some far far foreign land......

Maan has to live in his dreams where he would easily set things right and be with his loved ones......

He can't stop himself from thinking about what he could have done or not done so that he could also have a normal family life...... he could only rewrite the past in his dreams.....

what if he were not been enslaved by his bad addictions?, what if he was available when Geet tried to contact him?

what would have Geet expected from him when she came to know that his child is growing inside her....

why did she change her mind and wanted to contact him?

that's pretty unpredictable, how would Maan know what was in Geet's mind?

Maan gets a call from India.... it might be Dadi.....

Maan would be in a dilemma whether to continue the call or not....

Geet gets worried and that's the end of Maan's anger.......

Geet pauses while she is also confused whether Maan is ready to listen to her or not...

Geet breaks down....

Geet: itne din se kahan gayab ho agye the aap? aaisa bhi koi kartha hai kya? meine kitne bar aapko call kiya? ek bar bhi aapne phone nahi utaya?

Maan has no answers......

Maan: bathao Geet, tumne kyun call kiya? did you call to check on me that whom am I with?

Geet: you can be with anyone you want but you left something behind with me and I'm sorry i bothered to inform you that

Geet cuts the call....

Maan has to find out what he left back?

Maan calls back.......... Geet ignores.... tit fot tat.....

after a million attempts Geet responds.....

Maan: Geet, kya baat hai? kam se kam ek bar toh normal baat karo Geet

Geet: normal baat karoge toh normal reply milega

Maan: teek hai, I'm sorry for whatever I did, now please bathao Geet, kya keh rahi thi tum?

Geet: aap ko kya lagtha? aap ko sawaal karne wala ab tak paitha nahi hua? ab paitha honewala hai, ab aap ko usski har ek sawaal ki jawab dena padega, smajhe aap?

Maan is so happy to hear that.....

Maan's happiness is limited to his dreams.... the reality is not looking so good.....

Maan comes out of his thoughts....

Maan tries to stop thinking about Geet and get some sleep....

just then he gets a call from Geet.......

Geet cuts the call......

Maan is happy that he got to meet Geet one more time....

Geet can't accept anything from Maan, she wants to return it back to him.....

Honey Singh Dabha.... Maan has been waiting for Geet since 11.45 am....

it's 12.30 and Geet has not yet come....

Maan is getting more worried every passing second....

Geet comes in a taxi, she has come alone, without Aditi...

it's OK, Maan also wants to meet Geet alone, only the two of them....

Maan signals chote to bring the lassi fast........

Geet always likes to start with her favorite lassi.....

Geet straight away returns the envelope to Maan....

Geet is very agitated.... she can't digest the fact that Maan can set everything right by paying her...

she didn't want his money anytime, did he think that she tried to contact him for his money?

Mohan had started this Mumbai office just for Maan, he took Vicky's name so that Maan wouldn't object....

Maan is the sole proprietor of Mumbai KC....

it's an independent concern and has nothing to do with main KC....

Maan has transferred his 80% stakes to Geet's name..... he has made Adi 20% partner and Adi will take care of the business with Maan's guidance....

Maan'll have no direct contact with Geet anywhere...

no one'll know about this arrangement except Adi.....

Adi'll keep updating Geet and act according to her orders regarding the income, she may take it or put it back in business until she needs it...

Geet: I can take care of my daughter on my own, take your money back

Maan first gets back the envelope so that he can talk.....

he signals chote to come and take the orders....

Maan keeps his fingers on his mouth and directs him to Geet....

chote smiles and recites the menu to Geet....

Geet orders for herself and signals him to take separate orders from Maan....

Maan just haves noodles....

Geet was hungry for she couldn't eat breakfast in all the tensions....

chote brings two bills.... Maan lets Geet pay for both.... Geet Handa se panga nahi lena hai....

Maan: Geet, just keep this with you, you need not bother about it, Adi won't ever trouble you until you yourself call him

Geet: I said we don't need your money

Geet stresses on the word we..... she knows Maan is indirectly trying to take Aditi's responsibility...

Maan: it's not for Aditi Geet, I'll never tell anyone about me being the father unless you tell it to the world one day when you think I deserve to be a father, I'll wait till then

Geet: your money can wait till then

Maan knows about Geet's struggles leaving her family behind for Aditi and standing alone without any help, but for Sameera Geet what would have happened to Geet? Maan can't imagine it....

Maan is aware that Geet is still a working partner at Khanna office and is taking salary for her expenses.... he knows Geet won't take anyone's help to raise Aditi... maybe it'll be different after she marries Dev.....

Maan just wants to make sure that Geet has a backup whenever she needs anything at all....

He doesn't want her to be pushed into a situation when she would have to need any kind of support from anyone, he doesn't want her to live with the burden that she shuoldn't need Maan's support any day.... she need not constantly worry about facing such a situation.....

Maan strongly passes this message to Geet.... Geet takes the papers back without further arguments......

Maan then keeps staring Geet as if to ask her something... He is yearning to find out more... His heart just wants Geet to know that it still beats for her...

Maan has done everything for Geet only...

If someday Aditi is in any need she can claim her rights or even sue Maan and take what is hers anyday, legally too....

But what about Geet? Her self-respect will never let her come to Maan for she has not even gone back to her own family in all these days...

Geet starts moving.... She keeps walking on the road just to avoid Maan's lift...

But Maan Singh Khurana parks the car behind her and keeps honking the horn till Geet gets in the car...

Ye aadat bhi abhi tak nahi gayi.....

It's a silent journey till Maan drops Geet for both of them couldn't talk with such a heavy heart.....

Maan tries to get some sleep that night but fails miserably....

Early next morning Maan is woken up by a call....

Maan hurriedly grabs his mobile with a little hope to hear from Geet...

As if Geet would call to stop him ...

Maan has such expectations maybe b'coz he himself doesn't want to go...

It's not Geet, Maan is very disappointed.... It's Annie....

Annie should have called to say goodbye to Maan.....

Annie: Good morning bhai

Maan: morning Annie, itne subhe subhe kyun call kiya?

Annie: bhai aap itne jaldhi Mumbai kyun chale gaye?

Maan: KC mein kuch kaam tha

Annie: kya bhai har waqt kaam kaam? aap Vicky se bhi kuch seekhiye

Maan laughs....: aaisa kya baat hai jo Vicky se mujhe seekhna padega?

Annie: ladhkiyon ko patana toh koi Vicky se hi seekhe

Maan: what?

Annie: aapko patha nahi? che din ladhki in

Maan: Annie, I've passed all that stage and now I'm happily single, why do you want me to suffer like everyone?

Annie: no more excuses, I want to have fun with my brothers before you leave

Maan can't say no to Annie.....

Annie is already upset that Maan is not going to be present for the wedding....

Maan has to compensate for that......

Maan decides to go to Delhi and help out Annie......

He also wants to personally inform Pari about his leaving and ask sorry for not being able to attend her brother's wedding....

Pari is a very nice girl and Maan could sense that she was actually interested in Maan....

It would be rude if he leaves without biding farewell to Pari....

Pari is so much interested in visiting Canada.... Maan would also invite her to come to his place while Maan would be happy to host her....

Maan could even help her find a suitable groom there if she is so much interested in NRI boys...

Pari is only interested in Canada, just b'coz Maan is from Canada and Maan thinks her priority is his citizenship.... babaji Maan ko Geet jaise stupid innocent girl hi suit karthi, haina?

Maan then leaves for Delhi....

Geet is all the more confused....

Now she has to confront another huge problem....

Geet has decided for herself and also her daughter that Maan who was not for there them all there days doesn't exist for them anymore....

Now the big question is after it has been decided that they don't want Maan in their life how can they take his money?

let's say Geet would never ever touch it, but Aditi....

Suppose Geet destroys all the papers and hides everything from Aditi but after a few years Aditi finds out about her real father somehow and she comes to know about what he has left for her....

it's all good if Aditi too decides that she doesn't consider Maan as her father and she won't inherit anything from him..... but if Aditi thinks that she has a right to inherit her father's property and finds out Geet ruined all that for her then Geet might be answerable to her question that What right does Geet have to hide such a huge truth about her birth which Aditi has every right to know like any other child.....

Maybe Geet would eventually have to answer Aditi's queries regarding her biological father in the future....... that time Geet might have to tell the truth about what Maan has left for Aditi....

But everything is in Geet's name now.... she can't enjoy Maan's money after marrying Dev, that would be a great insult for Dev..... Geet would never touch even a penny from that....

Maan has made everything complicated for Geet.... what would Geet do now?

Every one would still think that the major stake holder is the Khuranas while only Adi knows the truth.....

Maan is in Delhi........

Dadi is happy that Maan has come back........ she has got one more week to try her tricks...

Annie is also on Dadi's team, they are forming a women's alliance with new members Nian Tara and Yamuna also join the team.....

Annie and Nian Tara go for the wedding shopping with Pari....

Vicky takes Maan to meet Arjun so that they can also help Arjun with the wedding arrangements....

Arjun is seeing Maan after a long time.... Arjun always liked Maan and admires how Maan got attached to Annie so quickly.......

Arjun who had no problem with either Mohan or Vicky actually feared Maan.... Maan has that air of authority and commands respect with his honest approach...

Maan can't help but relive the moments that he spent with Geet here at KM....

Maan looks at the Moon shining bright and smiling at him....

He could see Geet's beautiful face in it.... but just like the moon's scars the smile on Geet's face suddenly disappears and Maan could only see her soul less cold face with her eyes red in anger ready to punish him...

Maan wonders how could Geet punish an already dead Maan?

Maan is not worried about his pains but he couldn't see Geet hurting herself more trying to hurt Maan....

Dev: nahi Geet, ye maa ka faisla nahi ye mera faisla hai

Geet is shocked to hear that..... Dev Geet ke izzat rakhne ke liye itna bada katam utane ke liye tayaar ho gaya?

Geet: lekhin tumme nahi lagtha hai ki ye jaldhbaazi hai

Dev: nahi Geet, ye jaldhbaazi mein liya faisla nahi hai, ye toh do saal purana faisla hai, lekhin humne thodi dher kardhi, socha tha tum abhi bachchi ho aur mera bhi padayi bakhi thi

Geet is confused.......

Dev: Geet, tumme lagtha hoga ki ye faisla meine tummare liye ya tummare bache ke liye liya hai, par sach toh ye hai ki meinne bhi thoda selfish ho ke hi ye faisla liya hai

Geet: tum kaise selfish ho sakthe ho?

Dev: I always liked you Geet, I really don't know when I started admiring you like this, I have always looked forward to the summer holidays just to meet you, I cherish this friendship like a treasure, then I became possesive and greedy for I wanted you for myself, when maa started talking about my marriage plans I immediately told her that if i ever get married that would only be with Geet, and that too only after knowing about Geet's wishes, you were very ambitious about higher studies and so I decided to wait, that's the big blunder I did, maa was right, you could have continued your studies even after marriage but I thought you are still not ready to make such big decisions, how foolish I was, I'm really proud of you Geet, you stood strong for your child, how can I not want someone like you in my life? I know you are not in a state to think about marriage right now, but I promise you that only the engagement is my decision, the marriage'll always be your decision, it'll happen when you are ready to marry for yourself not for me or our child, yes Geet, now this is our child, I think I've that much right to take that decision

Geet is overwhelmed to hear that and is bound by gratitude to even think otherwise.....

Gayatri wanted to get them married before Geet's delivery....

She is right in a way for that would stop the rumors and give the baby an identity....

Then Dev realized that it's not wise to force Geet into marriage for he believes a wed lock is the culmination of two hearts in love and not just any ceremony to promote your status....

Instead Dev decided to move to Mumbai, shift his office there for he had expansion plans for Mumbai already..... Dev now wants to shift his business itself to Mumbai so that they can start afresh in Mumbai without any past baggage for Geet.....

Dev did all this for Geet and so Geet is forever indebted to him and his mother.....

After settling in Mumbai Gayatri started pestering Dev to get married soon....

But Geet didn't give the green signal for the wedding....

So Dev flies to Canada whenever Gayatri's wedding chants turn to an obsession...

Lat time too Dev stayed back in Canada for more than a couple of months unusally and Gayatri started worrying about Dev's hide and seek....

Gayatri stopped eating properly or taking care of her health, she just kept complaining to Geet about Dev.......

Gayatri's health took a toll and Geet got scared......

Geet then decided that she has troubled Dev more than enough and she called Dev and asked him to come back for she is ready to take their relationship ahead.....

That's why Dev was so excited at the airport when Geet herself went to receive him for the first time....

Maan entered at the wrong time.....

How could Geet forget everything and go with Maan just like that?

Part - 49

Maan now knows that Geet always wanted to come back....

Geet might be angry with Maan but she has not moved on as she thinks....

Maan has misunderstood that Geet blindly believed her family's story and lost trust in Maan.....

Maan thought Geet didn't want to even talk to him about that.....

Maan was wrong, Geet did come to talk with him....

She still trusted him, just like she used to come to him earlier without a second thought she did come to him but Maan was not there for her that time.....

Maan realizes his mistake that Geet didn't come only after she was forced to look for her child's father but she actually came looking for her Maan.... her savior, her friend, her love.....

Maan knows how much Geet would have missed him along with Aditi....

Maan was at least alone and only had his memories to haunt him....

But think about what Geet would have undergone with Maan's parchayi, Aditi, always reminding Geet of Maan every minute.....

Maan is angry with himself for not fighting to win his love back...'

Geet is right, Maan did run away.....

Geet has every right to blame Maan, B'coz she tried and Maan didn't....

Maan wants to know more about what happened after he went from Hoshiarpur and when Geet came to Delhi....

The whole Khurana pariwaar was against Geet, still they think the Handas are a curse for the Khuranas....

But Annie does have a soft corner for Geet.... Annie might help Maan find out more....

Maan goes to meet Annie....

But Pari is with Annie.... Pari ke samne Maan baat nahi kar saktha...

Maan: Pari tum yahan hai? Dadi tumme dhoond rahi hai

Pari: dadima? kyun?

Maan: mujhe kya patha? woh apne honewale bahu se kuch kaas baat karna chahthe honge

Pari: is it?

Pari leaves immediately.....

Maan: Annie, mujhe tumse kuch jaanna hai, kya tum sach sach bathaoge?

Annie: kya baat hai bhai?

Maan: woh Geet ke barein mein kuch baat karna hai

Annie: Geet? Vicky said she is married and has a kid

Maan: woh sab chodo, kya Geet mujhe dhoondthe dhoondhthe office aayi thi? tumme kuch patha hai?

Annie is shocked to hear that..... Annie did feel bad for Geet then....'

But dadi was too upset that after her son she is about to lose her potha too b'coz of the Handas....

Had dadaji didn't choose to bring a Handa bahu in the first place, her bade papa would have been with them and Maan would have been there for her from childhood, how awesome it would have been with the siblings playing around KM?....

Annie: aapko kaise patha? aap ne Geet se baat ki?

Maan: mujhe Pinky se ye baat sunna pada, kya mein itna paraya ho gaya hoon Annie? tum ne bhi ye baat ko mujhse chupaya?

Maan is obviously hurt.....

Annie: aaisa kuch nahi hai bhai, humne suna ki Geet ki shadhi uss bua ki bete se hi tai ho gayi aur ussi din shadhi hogi jiss din hum ne aapki shadhi rakhi thi', ye sunke Dadi bahut pareshaan ho gaye, unko laga ki aap ko ye sab maloom padega toh aap phir se apne aap ko chot pohunchayenge kissi na kissi tareeke se, issiliye dadi ne hum sab ko chup karwaya

Maan: par Annie, tumne Geet se uss waqt koi baat kiya tha? woh kyun aayi thi?

Annie: nahi bhai, Geet toh gate pe hi bahut dher rukh ke aap ke intrezaar kiya aur phir Dadi ne security se kehke Geet ko wahan se bhi nikal diya

Maan: kya? Geet yahan bhi aayi thi?

Annie: haan bhai, woh aap se bas ek bar milna chahthi thi, par uss waqt aap ke gayab hone se pura ghar bahut tension mein tha

Maan: par uss mein Geet ki kya galthi thi?

Annie: aap nahi jaanthe bhai, tab sab kitna dar gaye, Vicky aur papa toh aap ke bina ghar wapas aane se hi darthe the, woh Dadi ko samna hi nahi kar paye, Arjun bhi ek taraf aapko dhoondne ki koshsih kar raha tha, aur uski ek schoolmate one Mr.Adhav ne hi apne influence se Goa mein aapko spot kiya aur yahan wapas lane mein bhi hummari bahut madat ki,

Maan: I know, that was my biggest mistake, no day passes without me regretting for that

Annie: uss waqt aap bahut hi bhure haal mein the, 2 din hospital mein the, aur Dadi bahut toot gaye ki Dadi se milne aaye aap yahan aaise haal mein chal gaye, Dadi ne socha ki unke pothe ko apne saath rokhne ki khwaish ne aapko kitna bada mushkil mein dal diya, issilye dadi kushi se aapko Canada waps bhej diya tha

Maan: ye sab toh mere wajha se hi hua tha, Dadi ya Geet ki koi galthi nahi thi, agar mein Geet se ek bar miltha toh kissi ko bhi koi bhi dard nahi hotha

Annie: par Geet shadhi ko rokh ke yahan wapas kyun aayi?

Maan: wahi toh mein bhi jaanne ki koshish kar raha hoon Annie

Annie: lekhin bhai, aap past ko bhool jao, why do you want to revisit it when you know that it'll only give you more pain?

Maan: kitna bhi kadvi kyun na ho, par sach ka samna toh karna hi padega, aaj nahi toh kal

Maan thinks about Geet's words.... haan Maan itne din sach ka samne karne se dartha tha, lekhin ab nahi.............

Maan requests Annie to help him find out the truth, for that he has to meet Geet....

Geet'll come for the wedding, Maan'll make sure of that..... Dev haina?

Dev'll bring Geet definitely.......

But no one'll welcome Geet in the Khurana family....

Annie has to warn everyone to be nice to Dev and Geet for they are not her guest but Pari's guest....

Annie is also eager to meet Geet and her family.....

Maan thinks it's better for the family to keep thinking that Geet is married and Aditi is Dev's daughter....

Only Pari knows Geet and Dev are yet to get married....

But Maan has a plan to distract her too..... let Geet come and then Maan'll start his game....

the only difference is that first time Maan didn't even need 7 days to make Geet fall for him but this time it seems a little more difficult, but nothing is difficult for our MSK, if he decides that Geet is only for Maan then nothing can stop him.....
