Well.. This was a very 'awwwie...' chapter. I was smiling reading the convo, specially when Shaurya aaked Anokhi to sing, that was cute 🤭

He is really going all out for her & getting the doc printed, which is sweet since he actually likes her. Their convo was very heartwarming & it was nice you mentioned him hearing her singing Preet. I guess they're slowly understanding eo too!

Waiting to know more...

Chapter 16

In school

Anokhi reached the computer lab late as usual! But before she could ask "May I come in", Shaurya saw her!!

Shaurya cheerfully smiled at her and said "Come in Anokhi, I was waiting for you only!"

Anokhi looked at him in confusion!

Shaurya saw the mystified look on her face and smiled and handed Meenu and Anokhi their files!

Seeing their binded project files Anokhi's mystified expression turned into excitement.

Anokhi looked at the file! It had a pink colored page under the transparent cover which had her Name and all other details written with a red and black mix color combination in a beautiful shadow font with flowery border on all four sides!

While Anokhi was happily busy exploring the file with a big smile! Shaurya was constantly gazing at her changing expressions - they changed from curiosity to smile and smile to excitement!

Shaurya was deeply lost in her while still staring at her lovingly without a blink! He thought 'What a beautiful smile she has! Wish I could see it day and night for the rest of my life!'

Anokhi exclaimed looking at Shaurya "Wow Sir it looks wonderful!"

Hearing Anokhi, Shaurya came out of his thoughts and gave Anokhi a BIG SMILE!!

After waking up from his dreamland Shaurya announced to the class that "Since Anokhi and Meenu's project was ready I got it printed for you all to see! This will give you all an idea of how you have to get yours printed!!"

Then he asked Anokhi and Meenu to pass their files around so everyone could see.

After some time when everyone was done looking at it Shaurya in an instructive tone said "Ok, so now you all have an idea about how your files should be! You have to add all this information on the first page of your files, you don't have to use the same colors or design, you can use any color and design you like! Make your own design, use your creative imaginations! I know not all of you have computers at home so you can design these here in the lab computers and take them with you on a floppy disk!"

Shaurya quickly glanced at his watch and said "Today the time is almost finished but from next class onwards you all will be working on your projects only! I will help you all with any problems you might have."

Next day in Lab

"Ok so each group gets one computer, start working on your projects!!" Shaurya said as soon as the class came.

As Anokhi entered the lab she saw everyone was sitting on the computer busy with their project and Shaurya was helping one of the groups!

She quietly sat on the stool and started writing something in her register.

Shaurya noticed Anokhi was sitting and writing something...he walked towards her out of curiosity and glanced at her register to see what she was doing!

Shaurya smiled at what he saw and said "Very nice!"

Suddenly hearing Shaurya Sir from behind, Anokhi jumped in her seat and turned towards him, closing her register quickly.

"Uhh Sir?"

Shaurya smirked at her and said "Very creative way of writing your name Anokhi!"

Anokhi felt embarrassed "Uh...sorry, I was just sitting so…"

Shaurya looked at her lovingly and softly said "It's okay, I know! Why don't you help these guys since you are done with your project!"

"Yes Sir, sure! Who should I help??" She asked.

Shaurya looked around the room "Why don't you help Niti and Jassi, you already know about their project!!"

Anokhi smiled and said "Okay Sir!"

Over the next few weeks Anokhi helped out around the class!

Shaurya was very happy seeing this and thought 'It is really a good exposure and confidence builder for Anokhi! It's so good to see her helping everyone with such ease and no hesitancy!!'

During a tuition class

Shaurya to Meenu and Anokhi "Since you both are done with your project I brought these question papers from last year's board exam for you to practice while I help Niti and Jassi with their project!!"

Anokhi and Meenu started working on the paper!!

Shaurya got a phone call and it got disconnected due to low battery in his phone!

"Anokhi can I use your phone?"

"Yes of course! It's in the inside room, I'll show you!"

Shaurya followed Anokhi to the room where the phone was. After showing him the phone Anokhi came back to the room and started working on the paper with Meenu again!

Few minutes later Shaurya came back. He was distracted and thinking about something that he had seen on his way back after the phone call!!

Shaurya looked at Anokhi and started thinking 'I am pretty sure one of them was her picture! I wish I could have seen it more closely...in fact I would love to see it more closely, but how??'

Over the next few days Shaurya kept remembering the pictures he had seen that day and thinking of a way to somehow see them closely!!

One day while talking on the phone he thought of asking Anokhi about the picture!

Shaurya in casual tone "Uh Anokhi, the other day when I went inside to use the phone I saw a few pictures, was one of them yours??"

"Pictures? Where?"

"On top of the TV console."

"Ohhh those, yes that's Me, Mumma and Didi! Actually we had them done in a studio when we went to Shimla last year! Out of all the three poses of mine that pose was the best, so we got that one framed!!"

Shaurya, hiding his curiosity said "Oh ok! I couldn't see it clearly as it was far away but I thought it was you!"

"Oh ok!"

Shaurya hesitatingly asked "Can I see all 3 poses of yours??"

Anokhi stayed quiet for a few seconds thinking what to say to that but then eventually she said "Okay sure! Do you want me to bring them to school??"

Shaurya got surprised and asked "Can you bring them to school??"

"Uh yes sure, if you want me to!!" Anokhi replied nonchalantly.

Shaurya happily said "Yes please, if you can!!"

Anokhi softly said "Okay!"

Next day in school

Anokhi kept the pictures inside her computer science register and took them to school!

During the class in the lab Shaurya kept looking at Anokhi to try and get a chance to ask about the pictures.

Shaurya thought 'Maybe she couldn't bring them or else she would have shown them to me.'

Anokhi with confused thoughts 'How do I show him the pictures without anyone else knowing...I don't want the whole class to see them!'

All day they didn't get a chance to talk alone so at the end of the day they both went home disappointed with Shaurya thinking Anokhi didn't bring the pictures and Anokhi thinking she didn't get a chance to pass them to him!!

Shaurya called Anokhi in the evening

Anokhi with a smile said "Hello!"

"Hi!"

As soon as Anokhi heard Shaurya's voice she started talking, giving no chance to Shaurya to say anything!!

"Sorry Sir! I didn't get a chance to show you the pictures today!"

Shaurya got surprised and asked "You mean you brought them to school today??"

Anokhi with confusion replied "Uh...yes I did! Didn't you ask me to??"

Shaurya composed himself "Yes I did...actually you didn't show na so I thought you couldn't bring!"

Anokhi now with her confusion cleared replied "Ohhh...I did bring them but didn't get a chance to give them to you without anyone else seeing them! I don't want the whole class to see!!"

Shaurya amazed "Does that mean you had them with you in the lab as well??"

Anokhi cautiously replied "Uh yeees! You asked me to bring them so I did…" (To herself: Why is he asking me again and again??)

Shaurya still confused "Where were they??"

"Inside my register."

"Oh ok! Hmmm bring them again tomorrow and give me your register before leaving the lab."

Anokhi shyly replied "Ok sure!"

Next day

Shaurya started the class with "Today instead of working on your projects I will show you some ways to solve your issues in coding that I have seen in almost all your projects!! I will create some scenarios and tell the coding for that and you all note them down."

Everybody noted everything down and soon the period was finished.

Anokhi again in the same puzzle and thinking "How do I give him my register?? For what reason?? If I give it to him in front of everyone they will think why am I doing that and if someone asks me what will I say??"

She looked at Shaurya and smiled apologetically and left as she was not able to think of a reason to give him her register!

Shaurya thought 'She left the lab without giving the register, again!'

Anokhi was halfway to her class when she heard someone calling her from behind. She turned around and saw a student from the science section running towards her.

Anokhi confusingly asked, "Yes?"

Student while panting "Hey Anokhi, Shaurya Sir asked me to bring your register."

Anokhi was shocked "What?? Why?? (Quickly composing herself) I mean ok, here!" She handed him her register!

As he started to go back she called out to him and said "There are some loose papers inside so please take it carefully!"

"Ok sure!!" Then he turned and left.

After reaching back to the lab he handed Anokhi's register to Shaurya!!

Shaurya with deep breath sighed and opened the register and told them all that since they all also have similar issues in coding he will dictate a few scenarios for them to write and some of them are already on the board! He asked them to write the ones on the board first and then he will dictate more once everybody is done!

They all started writing from the board while he sat on his chair and enjoyed looking at Anokhi's pictures!

Shaurya with a big smile looking and thinking 'Wow what a lovely picture, she is looking so pretty in this one, it's a simple side pose but still I can't take my eyes off of it."

He kept looking at it for sometime before he moved on to the next picture. As soon as his eyes caught the second picture his heart skipped a beat...he was totally mesmerized seeing her beautiful smile! He put the register close to his heart and closed his eyes for a second. He wanted to save this image in his heart and mind forever!

Suddenly he opened his eyes thinking what would the third pose be??

He excitedly moved to the next picture! He smiled looking at it and thought this one is so different from the other two, her eyes are looking so mischievous in this one and she is looking stylish with her goggles pulled down from her eyes to her nose with the mehendi filled hand! What a lovely pose! The photographer has done an awesome job! And lucky me I got to see them!

After a few minutes he asked the class if they all were done copying from the board! Then he explained all those and other scenarios to them! Once the period was finished they all left!

'I have till the end of the day to see these pictures before I have to return them!' He thought.

All day he kept looking at the pictures every chance he got!

He had seen the pictures so many times since morning that they were all now scanned on his heart.

With deep breath out he sighed "Oh I have to let these go now."

As it was the last period Shaurya went to Anokhi's class and called her out!

Shaurya handed Anokhi her register and said "Thank you so much!"

Anokhi smiled at him and quietly took her register back!

They both didn't want to mention anything about the pictures at that time and place so after this quiet exchange Anokhi went back to class and Shaurya went to Mr. Supervisor's room!

I had a smile reading the chap. I knew Shaurya would notice something when he went for the phone & I was correct 😆 He's smitten by Anokhi, no wonder she thinks he's behaving weird when he was asking the same quiz again 😅

It was adorable reading about how he stared at her photos. Ofc if phones were available back then he would've taken those pictures with him LOL
