Suraj is actually Ahaan’s father’s BFF. He secretly had feelings for savvy but she married someone else, he abused her and so he tries to help her out always by getting her a job etc.

But Ahaan’s Dad used to think they have an affair.

It sounds logical to me, idk what the creatives are thinking😳. If that's the case, his words will mean little to Ahaan because Daadi will identify him as the other guy in Savy's life. More reason for Ishqi to not take the traditional route to bring the truth out to Ahaan.
