I felt really sorry for the two of them. I feel more sorry for her; life has been really tough on her. Its been a struggle from the time her father passed away. And she latched onto all those who showed some kindness and affection. Like Tejas. That guy has got some serious issues and he used her. With Nishit, I guess there was always that certain something between them and that probably made them behave in weird ways, maybe it was an unconscious way of dealing with stuff that they didn't know how to handle. Plus there is the class difference.

Tejas, he really spoiled lot of things for her. Like having the friendship of a whole set of people. He needs help, the guy goes around feeding stories to everyone to suit his purpose. In the end, Tejas and Mayank turned out to be selfish and self centered. I have a feeling Mayank agreed to get married because of pressure from his parents. The senior Ojhas are the pits, there is no doubt they have their eyes on the property and the money it can bring.

I totally agree. Kirti's life is a series of one misfortune after another, right from her childhood. A weaker person in her place could have turned out to be bitter, considering everything she had to go through. But she has so much compassion and love to offer, even when her own life is a mess.

You are so right about Tejas snatching the opportunity from Kirti to make some good lifelong relationships. That dude definitely needs help. The professional kind. In his lunatic need to compete against Nishit, he literally destroyed Kirti's life. And he doesn't even seem to have regrets. He is planning to have his toy back in his life. I hope Kirti doesn't fall into his trap again. He is too disgusting to be called a friend. With friends like him, Kirti doesn't need any enemies 😡

Like I said before, Nishit had his own insecurities. Still does. There are no doubts that he had started developing feelings for Kirti way before either of them knew what to make of it. But it was never expressed either because of circumstances or his own self doubts. Tejas' declarations made it sound she is very much into him (Tejas). So he probably stayed out of her way, until Tejas got engaged to Sana.

I feel Hardiik/Urmi had some hand in making Mayank agree to Kirti's proposal. Hardiik was on phone with Urmi when she had asked him to do something when Nishit was proposing marriage. They might have offered Mayank financial help or a role in some gig in exchange for accepting Kirti's proposal. Senior Ojhas....uff less said the better

Glad Kirti overheard the conversation between Mayank.and Shruti. Hard truths but she needs to hear the consequences of her actions and its effect on others

63. A Matter Of Time

The sports day picture - I guess it was special because for the first time a girl didn't make a big deal of his sweaty palms. Maybe it held some more memories of those days and how he felt. It must be extremely important to him if he was so disturbed at losing it. But that wasn't the most surprising bit. It was Ms. Lokhande's interest in his other pic that piqued my curiosity. She had visibly paled when Nishit confirmed it was his. Had they met when he was young, and did he help her out somehow? With each passing update, my disgust for this woman is being replaced by curiosity. She has her flaws, yes. But many of her actions which earlier seemed selfish and absurd have a backstory that reveals the rationale behind it.

While Ms. Lokhande is making me scratch my head, Radha is charming her way into my heart. No wonder Kirti is in love with her. I love the way Kirti is strict with her in things that matter, but indulges her little fancies. Radha is always on Kirti's mind even when she is not in her sight. The bond they have formed in such short duration is so heartwarming. I hope when the day comes when Kirti has to walk out of this house, the Ojhas don't create a scene about letting Radha go with her.

I am glad that Kirti has finally decided to stand up to the obnoxious Ojhas. Guess it was just a matter of time before she saw their true faces. Being narrow minded is one thing, but they are downright despicable. Mrs. Ojha is giving moral lessons to her DIL, while her husband is shamelessly dissecting the character of their mohalla's daughters. If the creepy Dadaji had the gall to hold Radha against her wish in front of her grandfather, it only means he is aware of Mr Ojha's disinterest in her. I am so proud of Kirti for calling him out publicly about it!

A special shout out for Buta for telling his Didi how she deserved a real-life (and not a reel-life) hero who is there for her to care & defend. Way to drop hints, dude!

I am really hoping for some twist in the next update where any one of them speak their heart to each other...

Why they both are hiding their feelings. They should just say it and if they get rejection then live with it. Bcozz in their mind they both have already accepted that they will get rejected. So, it will just make it real if they face it.

And why kirti is living with the Ojha's I don't understand.. Shruti said right that now she has time for herself which she is just wasting on a namesake relationship that has no future.

Let's see what's more in the store for us..

64. Boat Capsized (I)

I am back to feeling conflicted about Mayank. Looks like there's more to his agreeing to the marriage proposal than Kirti alone. He actually did a disservice by coming back, for all we know Kirti would have been happily married to that Aggarwal. Yet, he is acting as a victim. I guess the sense of entitlement runs in the family. He is mad at Kirti for bonding with Radha and taking care of her? Something that he and his parents should have been doing in the first place? What is the "actual" problem that's frustrating him so much?

I was afraid that Shruti would forever hold a grudge against Kirti, but real friends don't do that. Glad they could pick up from where they left. I wish Shruti had warned Kirti about Mrs. Ojha as a MIL. But then again, Kirti wasn't in a state to listen. She would have went ahead with the marriage anyways. In a way, it's good that Kirti overheard the conversation between Shruti & Mayank. It felt like ripping the band aid once and for all. She knows exactly where she stands in Mayank's life. She's nothing but a nuisance for him. She probably knew it already, but hearing it from the horse's mouth put a stamp of approval on it. I hope Shruti also grows out of her crush after witnessing this side of Mayank.

This chapter ended on such a sad note. My heart wept for Kirti. The only glitter was Shruti's entry and Buta's candies. Now, is it something that his bhaiyya had once mentioned to him and he got it for her sensing her mood, or did bhaiyya got it himself and passed along via Buta is something I would never guess❤️

I have a question - Is Urmi planning to buy Kirti's house? Or is Hardiik suggesting that she buys it? I got a bit lost there.

64. Boat Capsized (II)

It must not be easy for Nishit to swallow his pride and come to see Kirti even after repeatedly being told off by her. But the very fact that he is here shows that he genuinely cares for her. He was successful in figuring out the emotions in Kirti's eyes (he always does!), but failed to identify who they were intended for. He was unwilling to listen to Kirti's demand to back off, until she confessed her love for Mayank. Or at least that's what he thought she confessed.

It was a painful chapter to read, GN. More so because the person inflicting the pain was suffering as much as the bearer. How difficult it must be for Kirti to be so mean to the guy when even the memory of his words give her strength & courage to go on when life gets tough. Kirti said all those mean things to Nishit so that he goes away from her once and for all. But isn't it a bit selfish of her to do that? In her bid to protect her heart, she broke his. Her mean words are going to come back to haunt her soon.

So Urmi & Hardiik have planned something big, and they want Nishit to give them some inside information? Interesting! Are they pitching against his creepy Chacha or Rimjhim? It could also be Navyam's company. She did seem to know the father-son duo quite well.

"‘The advice, consider it a favor returned" What favor was she referring to? Something from the past that she recollected after seeing the photo in his study? It felt like she was speaking from experience when she gave the advice to not let his guard down or show that he cares.

Nishit has swore off Kirti. But by now we all know, that's not how it works for these two. The universe conspires in mysterious ways to throw them in each other's path, whether they like it or not!

65. Friends And Foes

I don't think there could be any better birthday gift for Kirti than discovering Tejas' true face. That man had alienated Kirti from others for his own twisted purpose. He's not just a parasite. He's a termite, silently destroying her life while she remained blissfully unaware. I am glad she confronted him and walked away, hopefully for good.

So now that she knows the truth, will Kirti apologize to Nishit for her past behavior? She has asked him to stop interfering in her life and he has asked her to not cross paths with him, but looks like they have crossed paths again. I hope Kirti takes this as an opportunity to say sorry. Nishit deserves an apology. It makes sense now why he said that Kirti is always hard on him while she is easy on others. She has misunderstood him way too much in the past.

66. Muntashir

Between Mayank & Nishit, the decision to marry Mayank was easy. It was supposed to be a marriage for convenience. With Nishit, that would have been an uphill task considering she had feelings for him. She doesn't give two hoots about Mayank's philandering ways. But had it been Nishit in his place, she would have been devastated. Nishit's proposal, as dreamy as it sounds, didn't assure her that he wanted to marry her because he loved her. She believed he was doing a favor for his friend, or at best, out of the goodness of his heart. Kirti always craved for Nishit's attention, but when she had it, she didn't know how to embrace it. I wish she was a bit more perceptive towards Nishit, but I don't blame her for not being so. She has convinced herself that their worlds are apart and he has had too many girlfriends to be interested in someone as inconspicuous as her.

So Dadi is awake. Just when I thought there couldn't be a better gift for Kirti, she got another. Nishit was there too. Speak about gifts! He may have ignored her presence, but he was far from indifferent. He wouldn't be there if it was all over between them, as Kirti thinks. I hope Dadi's recovery brings new light in Kirti's life. It will be a while before Dadi can come back home (I wonder which home she will come back to), but maybe she will realize how miserable Kirti is in this marriage.

P.S. - Loved the analogy of musk deer. Kirti has been searching for something which has been with her right from the beginning.

64 ii

In the earlier chapter did Hardiik imply.that Urmi is buying a house ? This was both sad and painful chapter to read. To protect herself or hide her own feelings... Kirti is being both selfish and rude . Finally berated Nishit enough that he will move on or stop reaching out to her 😏

Were you the one to send me the notes? I know it’s so long back and silly but I need to know. Are you the one to send Buta? Did you send those candies? Do you go to visit Dadi every Sunday evening, leaving your smell lingering in your after-wake ...
