If everyone is at their best every year, the best actress of the lot will win every year. Don't know why this hypothetical picture has to be drawn when all the top actresses made films last year and it was Taapsee's performance that emerged the best.

If we get into that every year, then I am sure we can continue discrediting previous winners also. "Oh Deepika won because Kangana wasn't at her best that year" and so on.

What an attitude ! Some actresses and actors are constantly criticized even when it's not deserved and one doesn't see them take to Twitter to angrily respond to them them.

When she got undeserved rave reviews, she was hungrily accepting them. Well she has to take criticism too.

This critic isn't the only one who feels her acting is constantly the from a movie to another.

There is a difference between Best performance of the year and a memorable performance …

Thappad for me , was the former not the latter

And kindly don’t bring gully boy aliaa into this coz I didn’t even think that deserved an award

I don’t think thappad had as much of an impact or will be remembered in the future years as a memorable performance or a character the actor is fondly remembered for …just that, there was no one better that year

It’s like raja Hindustani was the biggest hit that year …but does anyone count it in the league of hahk, ddlj, Lagaan, kkhh etc?

It’s about impact

Vidya won for kahaani and kangana won for queen and tapsee won for thappad …the title is the same - best actress …but there is a difference in the magnitude of the win …

But behen had lots of problems when shahid experimented with a flawed character and “got the girl” in the end in kabir Singh

She ranted non stop abt the lack of consequences and defends haseen dilruba where her role is toxic af ( cheats, lies, gossips abt the private matters of her husband , shames him) and still gets his “lorrrvee” in the end
