Bondita's dialogues were too today's girl type in london. She was talking to britishers and indian friends in london using words like
'By god' , 'Current shock laga' , 'Tension na lo'.
Bondita is supposed to talk like today's girl being first female barrister. There were many such modern women who went abroad for higher studies though in rarity. And in the show that rarity is Bondita. Only the catchphrases you mentioned here was weird.
It seemed pretty non periodic to me. If i am not wrong BB is just 8 years ahead of pre independence era it means now India is independent and they are in 50s.
I dont think 50s ke log jo educated the vo aise modern tone pe baat karte honge. I am only nitpicking this sequence because it was a pretty long sequence.
When the show started it was 1920 so now it may be 1929-1930. Yes educated or abroad higher educated people like Aniruddh and Bondita did talked in much modern tone. Remember in schools even in India not just England they had languages like Latin, French, German as optional or compulsory languages. Old english was more difficult than present ones. They were surely even taught Shakespearean English. Zamaana koi bhi ho modern log vaise hi the. Such modern men and women contributed a lot to society during that era. Bondita spent 8 years there so obviously there will be changes in her.
See this clip. Devika Rani learnt film making in Germany and this movie tpp was made there. Only songs were in Hindi. See the tone of their english.

Secondly, Bondita's speech to the britishers was in Hindi which i found too absurd.
Yes they should have shown the speech in english and only the ending lines in hindi but I guess for hindi viewers they did it.
These are the only two things that i found absurd rest the bgms cinematography everything was good.
It's a good thing then😊.
