In my place it’s winter so COVID cases are rising steeply.. they closed all schools today …a week early..they were supposed to close next week for the 2 weeks winter holiday..and all restaurants are closed except for takeouts..and there’s an alcohol ban..so we in level 4 lockdown until 11 July… the vaccination process started late so people above 60 have had the vaccine and healthcare workers and teachers so far..from 1 July ..people over 50 and policemen will be getting the vaccine..So the vaccination process has been slow as we got the vaccines very late..only towards the end of May did our vaccines arrive for the general population..we healthcare workers were able to get it from February..but that as well was extremely slow as it was a trial that was conducted using the J & J vaccine...🤦🏻‍♀️.. I hope most of our adult population will be vaccinated before the next wave hits us,..currently we are experiencing a third wave of corona virus cases,..😔

hi Silpa yes it was quite bad….schools have been closed for 6 weeks and alcohol could not be sold or bought anywhere..we had a curfew between 9 pm and 5 am…we had to be indoors.. But thankfully now the new infections have been decreasing,.so we passed the peak.,hopefully schools will reopen tomorrow and the curfew will be reduced. Lots of people have been vaccinated..but sadly there’s still some people who don’t want to take the vaccine.. the vaccine is our only weapon again COVID. Thankfully most of my family have been vaccinated….except the children..as vaccinations are open for all people from 35 years and above..my husband and I got the vaccine a few months ago as the healthcare workers got vaccinated first..but now my sisters, brother, mother in law, brothers in law ..all have got the vaccine so we feel a bit relieved.. But it’s been the law here for the past year that everyone must wear masks when out of their houses ..so that has helped a bit as well. But this delta variant is very deadly.. many people have got very sick and died..there were days we had over 600 people dying in one day…and that’s a lot for our country as our population is 55 million …😔
