I agree with you. I have never doubted her affection or emotion. I have criticized some of her actions, and I do disapprove of some decisions, but overall, there's no doubt she's always had Pallavi's best interest at heart. @bold- so true, we should look at each character as in individual, not as a 'Deshmukh' - uss logic se toh Nikhil bhi Deshmukh hai, and I'll go to war with anyone who compares him to Vijay, Sulochana or Mansi.

I was struck by just how in tune with Pallavi's state of mind Sharda is- compare her reaction to seeing her dressed like a bride today, versus on the day after the wedding when Jaya pushed her into dressing up. Sharda's reactions perfectly mirrored Pallavi's own emotional state. When Pallavi was doing it all zor zabardasti se, she was unhappy. When Pallavi was doing it dil se, she was overjoyed.

I took the aarti ki thaali thing a little differently too. Sure, we can take it negatively that the thaal was destroyed, which is inauspicious, but I'm choosing to focus on how when it all fell apart, Sharda helped Pallavi, uss mess ko sametne mein, when no one else stepped forward, and also shared some great words of wisdom.

@bold- that is so true and so nicely put. I don't know if you felt the same way, but there was a difference in the way Jaya greeted Pallavi versus the way Sharda greeted Pallavi. Jaya adores Pallavi as her DIL, I dont doubt that for a second..but her way of greeting Pallavi was how a loving MIL would greet her DIL on such occasions. She said what was required of her to say at that moment.. happy vat savitri, ache se puja karna, khub sare pics lena... Very sweet she was but if you compare that to how Sharda was almost in tears watching Pallavi in red dressed up like a bride..she looks so proud and happy for her..immediately put a kala tika on her.. blessed her with all her heart. That was the mother there who was just so happy and proud to see her daughter like that.. she was telling all the ladies around her "meri Palli aa gayi" so much warmth and maternal love in her smile ..

Absolutely. Respecting one's husband doesn't mean you become blind and deaf to all his wrong doings. Like she said, have faith in yourself and your love.. If you believe that you have done nothing wrong then stick to your stand like Ayi does.. Vijay-Mandaar is the dynamic I'm most excited for with Mandaar's return! We know from Sharda that they were often at loggerheads, so I bet it was a strained relationship, and it's just referred to positively, because obviously once someone is gone, you look back with rose tinted glasses.

Vijay's so shameless- he proudly confessed that he faked the fever to prevent Sharda and Pallavi from meeting.

Vijay doesnt respect anyone or any relationship..so why should Mandhar be any differenr? I bet he had objections to him marrying an orphan .. who knows? But then Pallavi gave him so much love and respect that he took her as another member of house who is already primed to obey and worship him..so he waa okay with her after a while..

Pallavi ne bola tha na ek baar, dimaag ghar chhod ke gayye the kya? Wanted to say the same today. Tashan ek taraf, but gun leke jaane mein, ya Farhad ke saath backup plan banane mein there was no harm. Now the ghochu is going to play Russian Roulette too, and I hope there's some solid reason for it- I hope he realizes there are implications to having a family, and him getting hurt/killed now impacts more people than just himself. He shouldn't be so casual with his life after promising Pallavi he won't let the color white come near her again.

Aise toh khud bhi marega, doosron ko bhi marwaayega.

I think he will know that she loves him but she won't be sure about his feelings so she won't make the moves anymore. This is why they are showing her taking the lead right now. All that emotion we see from her will be boxed up soon.

So when it comes time for him to woo her, he will do it danke ki chot pe, with full confidence that he's winning her back in his life, knowing she wants to be with him too but needs reassurance that he's just as crazy about her as well.
