I would love to write! Lekin future fic hogi, medical students start doing things like this only after 3rd year. Full on duty toh 4.5 years ke baad hi hoti hai, but I think we can show it as emergency situation and Sai going as volunteer to help out!!

Yea, I meant emergency situation only due to pandemic and Sai proposed to volunteer for her desh ki sewa and farz.

Or make it AU. Covid hits when Sai is an intern or 1st year resident. Maybe shes in her icu posting and she has to live in hospital residential quarters doing duty and virat is worried for her, proud of her and missing her.
