She was in Dangal & Secret Superstar. She was getting noticed for her work but then made a what the comment about how her religion is not permitting her to act & so she's quitting bollywood.... I don't remember clearly, but something on that line.

Sita is an ordinary character - an abla nari, damsel in distress. Anyone can play her.

We need to have debate on Soorpnakha or other interesting female characters where there is scope for performance.

She said being a part of showbiz was "threatening her relationship with her religion," not that her religion wasn't permitting her to act. Bollywood isn't rainbows and bunnies and perhaps that didn't go well with her personal beliefs. She was pretty young and becoming so famous so soon coulda caused some sort of identity crisis too.

It's a shame cuz I really liked her and she is beautiful too. And yes, she woulda been a perfect choice for the role of Sita!
