Though, anyone arguing that the Indian economy is not completely in shambles is certainly deluding themselves.

I recently came to know and was shocked that in developing countries like China, an average person cannot afford to keep domestic help.

In India it is common practice in middle class to keep full-time 'servants' at home. In urban areas where it's more expensive, domestic helps are called on hourly basis daily.

Sincere question, are there other countries where it's common practice to keep househelp?

To me, this was just proving that wealth is distributed very poorly in India, and the poor are incredibly poor. 😔

I am not mudslinging people with criticism. Did I call anyone name here?

on Twitter I’d call lot of people name for being grade A hypocrites. Scamsters and apologists. But Twitter is troll space so I don’t waste my peace of mind. I just follow couple IAS officers working in Gujarat and I appreciate their work. Govt too coz they did good. I like seeing glass half full. If my being that pinches someone, what can I do.

oh please. He has endorsed Coke before and also other energy drinks like Soccerade (a competitor to Gatorade) and junk food chains like KFC and the scam company Herbalife.

And oh yeah, a woman had filed a rape case against him and he paid her off to keep her quiet.

But leave it up to Indian wannabes to come up with stuff like this. It's always the desis.

Domestic workers are generally more common in the developing countries. South East Asia, Parts of Latin America and so on. It's a mix of population, poverty and cultural factors. It's not just because of income inequality. Inequality in China is just as miserably bad as India.

Sorry Dee, but BJP has lost it for me.

I had so much high hopes from them in Meghalaya, but nah still the Hindus are living their with fear no progression or success, hence everybody is leaving Meghalaya to work outside. All of the idiots who voted for NPP(BJP's allies) thinking they would do something, have done nothing. Rather the hatred for non-locals have increased, and the discussion in the LA, have all been on about how to take away whatever remaining privileges Hindus have over here.

Bengalis were tortured last year, Sikhs before that. But no national news or the so called Godi media showed it.

In West Bengal, BJP workers are getting killed everyday but center doesn't seem to care apart from pesky tweets.

That I totally agree with. Modi has become softy and look like someone who will leave for Himalayas soon.

Bengal violence is horrible. Did NDTV call Mamata, murderer yet? Not gonna happen I know.

Abhi toh yeh haal hai ki.. media has started whitewashing Lalu yadav. Yeh hai hamari liberal ecosystem. Puke.

Hardly anyone wants to talk about development here. Sabko religion hi pelna hai. But you have to agree with them. 😆 Otherwise you are bigot n fascists and all that sorts.

Religion ke perks chahiye but criticism nahi. 🤷‍♀️

Well it was the very same liberal media who were showcasing the xenophobic CAA protests of Northeastern states as something of support to their national Muslim sympathetic CAA protests😆.

They didn't realised that the actual protest against CAA in NE was against taking in any Bangladeshis. Although I support the NE states in that, the way Bangladesis, doesn't matter Hindu or Muslim, uprooted and dominated the Tripura state is classic case of uprooting the locals and dominance by foreign elements post Bangladesh creation. It is just the hypocrisy and inability of CAA protesters of mainland to understand NE people which made me laugh at them.
