I think he just agreed for marraige since wo unka sabse bada bhoj hai na to get his daughters married. His daughter already ran away from home so his consent anyway dosen't matter but still the guy came and asking for his consent and his son is useless so that made him agree.

Babli track is still open . I am sure they will address it , that time will see papa bhalla's stand.

I so badly wanted that. Uske issues pata bhi nhi hai Shaurya ko. But mujhe samjh mein nhi aata kya Anokhi can forgive such a person. But Shaurya took care of this detail which is definitely out of the way and way more that Anokhi can imagine. That impresses me.

@bold: From what I have seen of OG, papa Bhalla was not so abusive in the first place. He was a plain misogynist who thought marriage is the only purpose of a girl's life. I think here they dealt with Shaurya-Bhalla equation in more detail than in the OG. There they come to the marriage out of the blue and all is forgiven. There is a small Bhalla - Anokhi moment also which I am sure they will show here too. However, Mr. Bhalla is not completely changed which is evident in the recent tracks of the OG.
