Prem Bandhan ended with everyone forgiving the mother and son. They killed Janki and he beat up is wife on a regular basis. Murder and domestic violence are just normal things apparently.

He is punishing the girl for punishing her own father while her father wants to be punished but is being asked by his daughters and the hero’s family (why do they even care) to not be punished.

End mein only the audience is punished.
