Yup he is soft but he does find his way. I don't think he is really afraid of anyone. He just seems more tactful. During mehendi when Sarla was adamant on getting her mehendi done and leave Ishqi's mehendi, he made Sarla dance with him so that Ishqi ki mehendi ho jaaye. Even during Sangeet he told everyone off. And abb toh Ishqi khud ki fiancee hai toh I don't think he will let anyone bully her.

Moreover I feel Sarla usually Ahaan se zyada panga nahi leti😆 and most of the characters seem a bit scared of Ahaan🤣 like they are trying to persuade Ishqi to go away but no one dared to directly speak to Ahaan about her

We also have that Manglik spoiler from Param where he said Ishqi is the love of his life now and they are getting married. So Ishqaan rituals were in progress where they also had issues with manglik thing. That might also be dadi-Rhea's way to break Ishqaan. Before wedding, they might have tried such tricks and failed. SO on wedding kuch dhamaka karke IShqi ko disappear karwaya
