A big win for the democracy. Finally the PM of India listened to the people who saw the discrepancy in the vaccine policy and reset the country’s Covid Vaccine policy. As usual lots of lies, lack of transparency and transferring the blame to the states when it is the center which asked the states to take care of their own vaccines in the first place.Private hospitals are going to keep their 25% of the vaccine availability which they will buy directly from the manufacturers- which remains very problematic for the obvious reasons. The Center should’ve bought the entire stock themselves and dealt with the private hospitals themselves. Despite the center’s terrible handling of this, hopefully at least now the vaccine drive will get streamlined and lives will be saved.
