I have been invested in Shaurya and Aastha's relationship since the very beginning. One of the reason being it wasn't the usual regrets and hate relationship, need and desperation laced with control was very evident from the very beginning. Having said that I did think that the 'maa' came out a bit early but the way it was done how do one find a flaw. ❤️
About Shaan, the difference between Aastha and Shaan is beyond. You cannot just compare. While Aastha had to leave, this man was still there giving up on his own child not even realising that his child might end up giving up on himself.
And Devi could never take that place because Shaurya was forced to give her that place, it didn't come out naturally or because of his love...it happened because he felt indebted towards the share of love he received. Love that didn't feel like his own yet came to him as if it was his own.
Me too! Shaurya and Aastha's relationship was something that hit right in the heart. i cried during his hospital visit and also the food and ma-beta scene that he witnesses after SIAC admission track. i have waited for this scene for too long. and i had hoped for a more elaborate scene too. for him to complain more and to cry it out and for her to convince him more. and without the sabh fam nonsense. i would have loved if he had asked for more time or something before coming to 'maa'. but i am very satisfied with the execution of the scene by the actors.
I know I have expected too much from Shaan. in fact the only statement i have liked from shaan since the whole goa track was when he said - aaj mujhe ata chala itne saal tumne apne bete se dur rehkar kya mehsoos kiya hoga. his character would have salvaged a bit if somehow he had tried to keep in touch with the mother of his child rather than pining for his wife.
to me, Devi probably never loved shaurya as her son, she merely took care of him. maybe she loved him only when he started finding his mom in her but her 'love' was not because she considered him as her child. maybe she liked him because he was the only person who could make her a mother. she liked the feeling of being a mother but she was not being a mother because she loved a child. so that love never truly touched him.
