Truly, this month has started off very well for me, as far as reading is concerned. I'm rather proud of myself😛 I've read only two books so far but they both turned out to be good. First there was The Tattooist of Auschwitz and then The Devotion of Suspect X.
Don't worry, you won't have any problems even if you start a few days later. And I feel like I might slow down towards the end of month, so I thought I'd squeeze as many books as I can in the first two weeks. Started with my favourite genre too, so I retain my interest. And speed.
I personally liked this book. It took a different approach to what we usually get to see in detective stories, which made me wonder if I'd like it, but it turned out to be really good.
The only thing is, the story has a surprising lack of CCTVs. Though, that might be because of the time the book was written, I don't know how popular they were back then.
I think you should at least give it a go. Even if it's not your comfort zone, I don't think it will bore you. Might even enjoy it, seeing as you've liked the thrillers we've read before.😊
The ebook of SPEAK has jumbled lines. Here is an alternate link
I started speak because it looked really intriguing, however, I am not able to get hooked to it. Barely read a few pages.
I am yet to start reading any of the books. I’m trying to finish the books I started reading last month.
I started the great gatsby and the mexican gothic but wasn't able to read more than 5-6 pages. Today I started Speak. Initially, this was the only book that I was sure that I won't read but the blurb looked interesting. So I started it today. I am liking it so far.

Speak is fourth in line of reading in my list. I started The Midnight Library today and have read 4 chapters so far. The chapters in this book are really short, which is a good thing.
Neither Great Gatsby nor Mexican Gothic interest me when I read their blurbs. That's why I'm saving them for the last. Tell me how you like them. I hope that'll be encouraging.
I don't know what to think about Speak after reading both your and Hinna's thoughts on it😆

Different strokes for different folks 😉
I just finished Speak. I loved it. 1 down, 3 to go. ❤️
P. S. There is also a movie based on this book starring Kristen Stewart. The trailer looked promising.
