Sonu doesn't have to tell the entire truth, but she completely acts like a remote controlled robot until it stops serving her purpose. She will go behind her family's back for her own pleasure and gain. But when her daadi stops her to meet ishqi she will follow all the "rules". Again, "Rhea is so perfect, Saasu Ma scolds me because of her". All she wants is everyone to keep praising the ground she walks on, and make everything about her.
