This is ITV, mess ups are bound to happen. Mujhe laga that the red stain is gonna be very significant to the plot because they kept focusing on it in the last scene🤣

There were many theories abound.

But I think the main one was pretty simple - like Pallavi said that in the Episode itself - that this mark is still left, it didn't wash itself away.

It was probably to signify that Raghav will paint her in his colours & her white widowed life will soon be gone. This small mark was just a start.

The OST of the serial also has the line - Apne hi Rang mein rang de, Woh Saajan kahan hai - which literally translates to -

That one who will colour me in his own colours, where's that lover??

Well!! The stain is supoosed to signify red staining her white saree meaning love coming to her life as a 'widow'.. and pallu always says she runs from the cor red in her lifee.. and of course you just started show so i wont spoil, but you will see how it re emerges. So it is significant in that way!
