In South Indian culture, virats child would call mohit kaka and samrat mama.

Devyani could tie rakhi only to mohit and virat but not samrat. Because south relationships allow consanguineous marriages between Matrilineal cousins who will have different surnames.

Samru is Devi's cousin for sure... and he is masculine gender... toh he'll be Harini's mama only🤔

I’m South Indian and even there, both Virat and Samrat are related to Devi in the same manner and therefore Harini in the same manner. It doesn’t matter if the cousin is paternal or maternal. Either way, they are mama and their wives would be mami.
