I guess due to lockdown and offsite shoot, we are seeing choppy episodes that sometimes have continuity flaws. I have noticed some dubbing issues as well.
In today's episode, it was nice to see Ishqi save Ahaan from falling in the pool for a change - poor guy lost all sorts of balance and fell on top of her. If it wasn't for Kartik, he was in no mood of getting up - yet he still makes it a point to tell Ishqi to take care of Mayank... lol ok . And then there was Mayank who was so lost in his phone being in the pool that he didn't look up at all 🤣. The Ahaan-Rhea hug was mostly for himself and Ishqi - I wouldn't say to make her jealous but rather to make each other aware that they are committed to different people and should avoid all these looks and feels. Similar to the elevator scene - It is like speaking to both girls with one statement (kahin pe nigahen kahin pe nishana) 🤪.
I didn't find anything wrong with the precap - the only difference is Ishqi didn't tell a soul about her conversation with "high" Ahaan and here Ahaan is speaking of it to Kartik (of course because Kartik saw them), but regardless I am happy that Ishqi has an idea of what she talked with him in her high. She can probably understand the reason for all the weird AVM comments as of late.
While I don't like his behavior, it is totally in-character of Ahaan. I mean the guy is confused beyond anything - he is definitely in love, in fact more so than Ishqi right now... yet due to his upbringing and the current circumstances, he is in denial and conflicted to the point of being completely irrational about anything involving Ishqi. He is behaving as expected - completely defensive as he has in the past. But it is obvious there is only one person on his mind: Ishqi; and Kartik (apart from viewers) is privy to this key information.
Actually, the funniest for me is Mayank not taking any credit whatsoever about anything in front of Ishqi ... "this is all thanks to Ahaan" ... "oh no dont thank me, it's Ahaan". LOL I am not sure if it is on purpose but it's hilarious. Their first dinner date was also thanks to Mayank 🤣🤪.
Next, the confrontation where he pins her to the wall without actually touching her - how sanskari 🤣🤪... He was definitely talking about them but she was initially talking about Sonu / family values until he mentioned the BFF wedding 🤣, which is why she asks who Ahaan is reminding: himself or her 😳. Also dear AVM, if you don't want to break up your best friend's wedding, you need to stop cornering his fiancé every now and then to know what's going on inside her heart / mind. Her feelings will go away if you stop showing up everywhere around her.
What seemed a little odd to me was the last scene with Kal Ho Na Ho song... and they both were teary eyed looking at each other. Is it because of the unsaid feelings? Is it because of the showdown from previous night? My personal take is that Ahaan's sadness is due to the love and internal conflict arising from his upbringing. He knows had circumstances been different and if Ishqi was single, it would be Ahaan marrying her. For Ishqi, I think more than love, it is about what she mentioned in the poem regarding fear of losing AVM in any capacity. Also I think she thinks of it as a betrayal by not confiding in him about Sonu. Because unlike Sonu, Ishqi knows that something this big, you need your pillars of support around and she sees that in Ahaan regardless of his temper, frustration and thoughts about women etc.
Anyway... tomorrow this will play out more so it will hopefully make more sense.
