The one thing Ghum has done well is keep Pakhi consistent as a character with a trajectory that is growing more and more desperate as time and Virat pass her by. So, what exactly does she want?

1. An actual physical affair with Virat.

I actually don't think she has the guts for this. Her favorite bahu image will be destroyed beyond repair if it comes out. So this is out even as a thought.

2. Emotional closeness with Virat

She does seem to crave this. She herself admitted to Virat in their episode long confrontation that the only thing she wanted from him was that he not give her place in his heart to any other girl. But this is clearly not happening and Virat has told her to her face that their relationship never even took off so she's mooning over something that's non-existent (minus that idiotic vaada). The friendship she had with him seems to be crumbling too.

3. Sai to not have Virat

I think more than anything she wants this. It hurts that Virat doesn't love her. But it hurts even more that he loves Sai. I think her hatred for Sai eclipses her "love" for Virat. It pushes her to do absolutely crazy things like barge into their room on the flimsiest of pretexts or want to go out with him alone in the car like today. She is really coming off as unhinged now. The character has zero self-esteem if she is only valuing herself in terms of what she can have with Virat by pushing Sai out of the picture.

Let's assume she gets number 3. Sai doesn't get Virat because she doesn't think she can have him. But Virat still loves Sai and probably will resent Pakhi even more for driving a deep wedge between him and Sai. It hasn't happened yet, he has so far only been firm and told her off. But when push comes to shove if he stands to lose Sai, he will undoubtedly take it out on Pakhi. So what does Pakhi gain ultimately? From what I can see:

1. She is miserable

2. Virat is miserable

3. Virat may lose Sai but grows to dislike Pakhi even more

This is a zero sum game for Pakhi. If she manages to push Sai out, she wins, but Virat loses which means the end result is nil. They need to explore the character's motivations a little more. Her monologues tell us she is getting desperate and just wants to spend time with Virat. But what's the endgame for her? What is she thinking she will gain by doing any of that when the guy (who has broken his promise to her no doubt) has clearly told her he's in love with his wife.

If she is mentally ill (and she better be 'cos this is not normal behavior) then she needs help. Someone (and no one better than Sai, solver of all problems except finding missing gifts!) needs to help her gain some much needed self-esteem and find a footing for herself. Virat is not such a prize that she should lose herself for him - no man is that!

By the way, as a woman, it hurts to watch Pakhi lose more of her dignity every day. Beizzati jokes apart, she is clearly losing it. As Sai told her once right in the early episodes - "Apni izzat apne haath mein hoti hai."

So, where's Pakhi's izzat? Clearly, Ghum hai kisikey "pyaar" mein.

That was long..whew! Thoughts?

I replied in some other thread today. In my opinion she doesn’t want anything emotional or physical from virat! If it was there earlier, it was cleared by virat on that confrontation day.

She wants point 3. Sai out of his life. She wants the same heartbreak to virat as hers 😒

ps: I didn’t watch today’s episode. Looks like she still wants to spend time with him 🤭

Pakhi needs help

What she has done to herself just see initial episodes she was a yoga enthusiast even when Sai went to her parents house to bring her back she was seen doing yoga ,she was doing job also and she went to that retreat also by herself

Now look at her she only gossips and participate in family politics I have never seen her doing any work at home earlier she used to make chai but I don’t ab to wo bhi nahi karti

In some recent episodes she has stopped working at all in devkit lunch episode also everybody was serving and she was sitting even today’s episode Karishma said she did all work while Pakhi came just to serve kaku

What this girl is doing to herself and no body seems to notice

I think at least she can start online yoga classes it will bring sanity to her

I am really really worried for her

The whole show and concept are based around Parki "Gum hai kiski pyar mein". This is why she gets so much screen space and repeated dialogues. Virat has moved on but she hasn't. She really needs help.

Okay, so just my thoughts.

1. Seeing this reason, if she wants a full fledged relationship with Virat, just not the eternal 'love is the most beautiful feeling'in the world. She might be expecting for it somewhere or the other. I'd not say she aims for this, but at some point, it may play a part seeing this behaviour. As in , she had asked that what lacks in her, it was an insecurity, yes, but yesterday she saw Virat's proximity with Sai, which was purely shown as a physical aspect of intimacy to her, so, with this behaviour, she might develop it soon. A false belief might get cropped that physical proximity may get what she wants, which probably even she doesn't know.

But I don't think she cares of the susheel bahu status, it's not the title she cares, it's the support of that family which she craves. So, she becomes flexible according to how the family wants her to see, so that she gets the support and is projected that she is a good bahu that the family loves , she is flexible, she might want to prove that she is eligible in every terms to Virat. She wants to prove that compared to Sai, who is your wife, who cannot adjust, but she ,Pakhi, can adjust and be the best. She is better than Sai.

2. Emotional closeness, hmmm, it's common I guess. As in, see, Pakhi only sees everything or anything, based on Virat's aspects. She individually is not completely involved into anything or with anyone. She only sees Virat, so she only desires that familiar emotion of apnapan, love, care ,only from Virat. She needs emotional attention more than emotional closeness. Only his attention in terms of emotions matter to her.

3. Here is what I feel, it's not Sai. It's Virat here mattering to her.

So here is her aim according to me.

It's not Sai to be precise. If Sai and Virat would have been in deal terms, she would be all well. Okay, let them be. But, the deal is turning dil ka relation, which she can't bear. She wants to be the only one in Virat's life, the only love which he ever had. She wants that place by hook or by crook. Whether it is by getting Sai out of his life, or by whether entering into his life. She just needs that place which Virat had promised her. And in this aim, she is turning delusional, selfish and what not.

Hope I made sense🤣
