Atif is crazy for saying a “platonic” relationship for a husband and wife on Twitter. I am thinking he meant we won’t see passionate romance between Aditya and Imlie. Two people in love and that too married can never have a platonic relationship. 😆 And he should know by now, Imlie audience is not looking for a passionate romance after 160 episodes. We are looking for the soulful connection that we have seen from the beginning. What they have done in past 30 or so episodes, since sindhoor drama started is mess with Adi Imlie soulful connection. That is what the audience is complaining about, not the lack of passionate romance, which we never expected in the first place. 😆 I miss their honest conversations, light and caring moments that did not involve sach batana and Malini didi. Imlie has become a skeleton self of what she was before. I do not really feel the connection of Aditya and Imlie any longer. Hume romance nahin, connection chahiye.

I really really hope Atif is not involved in writing. It is so weird about Malini, like she is portrayed by writers and we as audience see her the way the writers are portraying her but writers themselves do not acknowledge how they are portraying Malini, atleast that is what I understood from Atif’s tweets. According to him Malini is still a Bichari going through a break up after 7 years. Well that is true, but that is not the only thing about her. There is a reason I cannot sympathize with the character any longer and that is because of the way the writers have portrayed her in the past 30 episodes which they themselves refuse to see. To the audience it is clear that Malini is a delusional, self centered, extremely weak minded woman....we know all this as writers have shown us like this......but not one character in this show sees her as anything but a Bichari mahaan person for whom a temple should be built. There is real disconnect about Malini’s character as how she is shown to audience and how ALL the characters in the show see her. And because of this disconnection, they messed up Aditya and Imlie’s characterization when the show became all about Malini since sindhoor drama. Writers lost track of PD story line, Rupi di knowing the truth, and most importantly Aditya Imlie soulful connection.

I toh have no expectations now. Infact when I read yesterday that Imlie fell down at Malini’s feet, I did not even watch the episode. I can’t respect Imlie if she does not respect herself. And this show is about Imlie....so oh well. 😳

I had liked when they showed Aditya’s realization that Malini was just a friend to him and he never felt for Malini what he felt for Imlie. They showed his thinking process there clearly after last PD trip. But what they have never showed to us is that irrespective of Imlie, why his relationship with Malini would not work even after dating for 7 years. Through story telling they did show to us, but never through Aditya’s character POV. We do know that he thinks like this based on that 1 statement he gave to Imlie when he was forcing her to go to college. He did tell her that his relationship would not work with Malini irrespective of Imlie, but no thinking process was shown behind that conclusion. And Imlie did not even consider it when he said that as she was in her didi jaap mode. In the past 50 episodes it was very important to show us that Aditya reach the conclusion through his thinking process that why his relationship would not work and communicate that clearly to Imlie so that she understood it too. Because the writers did not show such an important thing through Aditya POV properly, it seems to everyone including Imlie that because he fell in love with her, he is breaking up with Malini and if Imlie was not in the picture then he would have had a successful marriage with Malini even if he did not feel too deeply for her. They did show Aditya having happy times with Malini, so it is was very important for the writers to show us in detail through Aditya’s character why he thought the relationship would not work long term irrespective of Imlie. Writers missed this very important and pivotal to story point when the whole story line became only about Malini. The emotional realizations from Aditya and Imlie got tossed aside because of the importance given to Malini’s depression. Writers failed to balance all 3 main characters and since then they have not recovered. I don’t know if it is possible now. I have no hope anyways.

I started loosing respect for Imlie since suicide kaand and if they don’t show her getting out of this masochistic streak and evolve, I will loose all respect for her character. So what is the point of watching Imlie show if I cannot enjoy Imlie character. Her falling at Malini’s feet yesterday was kind of a deal breaker for me.

I am sure you all know about the atif fiasco.. haha, they kept tagging him for every little thing yeh toh hona hi tha, I would have felt better about his response cause I wanted him to respond but with the words he responded ? No. Not talking about platonic. That was clearly a mistake on his part he wasn’t clear on the meaning and tried to do damage control later on calling it a joke.

I am talking about using the words ‘justify adi imlie’, excuse me? What does that mean? Did we not accept the characters as they were? Is the story not so controversial ke it needs a good execution not justification? I am sorry but that one word disconnected me with the whole show again, what are they trying to whitewash when there is nothing to whitewash right now. Plus makes me think sorry but makers are trying to give a story from a different point of view than we’re analysing.

It actually makes me sure the bashing got to them. Who are they trying to please here? Neutrals or bashers will never care about ‘justification’ at this point, they will just keep bashing nonetheless. You’re not gonna attract anyone with this nonsense whitewashing drama. Viewers were attracted to the character progression and story progression of imlie, new viewers because of couple dynamics. And we all know when the trps were the highest or good. So who exactly is this justification for? Where was the care for this justification during the third pd track and few episodes after that? Those hate comments for those got to them? Is that why the story progression and couple dynamics have been going downhill? Doing all this for a few people who barely like the show while viewers like us discuss, love, defend across different platforms.. I felt insulted, heartbroken ke a story I loved might have been butchered for something like that. Why decide to produce a controversial storyline when you don’t have the guts to showcase it as it is? Sorry but.. can’t blindly defend the creatives for everything, post sindoor been giving time again and again but one two masala episodes aren’t going to do anything for me if the substance of the story seems weak and the characters act oot, couple ofcourse having barely any screen play together, let alone the charm and connect they had. I don’t feel connected to anything. To prop up one character or unable to take criticism whatever the reason, the very essence of this show is lost, rushing last week’s track was the worst decision. I don’t understand because it would have gotten them trps too.. this ‘justification’ coming the horse’s mouth itself seems like the actual reason to me now.. show might have moments like pd again but it’s lost its vibe and essence for me at this point..

Exactly. Throw in a few dialogues here and there and makes it all clear ? Exactly how when that marriage was shown having some good times for 80 episodes no matter the damaged reality of it beneath it all. I waited for him to further explore this thought and convey the same to imlie but whoosh, gave it one day abandoned it the next. Right now from all characters’ pov all their trying to portray is ke, fell in love with imlie is why he’s leaving malini. Nothing related to their broken relationship being explored. Aur kaise hoga when do the leads get enough time or a screenplay that focus on them and their damn relationship.. what a mess they’ve made here.

There is going to be no coming out of it for Imlie. Especially when it is to do with Malini. We need to let go of that expectation. Maybe every 50 episodes she will reaffirm her love for Aditya a bit but everything Imlie does or is going to do is going to be around Malini’s happiness which is none of her business. Malini will lug her dead luggage around, and everyone will just conduct their lives around it 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have zero expectations

Problem is they cannot handle the complicated plot. Malini’s character is probably the worse I have seen. To justify her position or lack of it, Adi and Imlie’s relationship has derailed and the characters just assassinated. I see such a disconnect even between episodes. It is like two different people writing this stuff. Where is the Imlie that Aditya fell in love with? Didnt she fight with him also for her usool? How does all that go poof in front of Malini?!

Give me high 5, I read the WU yesterday. I could have tolerated all the other crap but I just couldnt get myself to watch it when I read Imlie touched Malini’s feet. The director claims it was out of respect..Why did she not touch T seniors ke feet? Itna partiality respect mein? Beyond me sorry!

Twitter was a war zone and they have got the message loud and clear from what I read.. will anything change, who knows..but this week is all ready to be telecast so it is going to be one helluva drag with lots of obnoxious scenes for sure..

As for platonic.. he wont be using that even in his dreams for sometime now😅
