The most that is equal for us is the exchange of rings. I don't know if this is just a Mallu thing though.

I only do sindoor for the high holidays and mangalsutra when I attend a wedding in a saree. Me, nor the husband, are fans of either....we just go with the flow to appease the elders, but preach change and rebellion to the youngsters.

Mere dad ko bolne ki kisiki himmat nahi thi so they used to taunt my mom.. n ek baar meri satki n I said Mere parents ka khaati hoon n woh mujhe khilaate hai tum logon ka kya jaata hai??🤣
