As much as I understand him, I fail to understand why he starts sulking? Lack of confidence I guess. Why doesn’t he have the spirit of winning her? Like do something to win her and not like a regular nice things that he does. Let’s say he is not confident in confessing once he thinks she doesn’t want him as her husband. Why not give it a thought as why she doesn’t want it. If she doesn’t want it, is he ready for her to move on with some other guy? He won’t even let that happen. Rather than acting when something guy comes into her life, why not act now? Let me think about how to frame my question if you haven’t got what I am trying to ask.

If there is something that I generally don’t like or can’t empathise with is self pity or a person giving up. I have still not seen him giving up, I can even now understand his insecurity, but not the sulking mode 😒. I don’t know why but I cannot appreciate that.

I guess he don't want to force his feelings on her, as he already promised her he would never ever stop her during marriage and add on to it... After that separation drama, he thinks he don't have any right on her or to confess his feelings
