But more so after going through so much and the way the have been with each other lately, and also the way he has been shutting up Pakhi he was hoping Sai would atleast not doubt his relationship with Pakhi

Even if it was just friendship "now" or just "bade bhai ki biwi" now.. the kind of talk they had , the kind of talk he had with Sai w.r.t. PP, the past they had, the way PP talks to him and he shrugs her, can it all be equated to what Mohit and Sai have for each other in any any world? There was no reason for this shock, even if he has no feelings for Pakhi, because what Mohit and Sai have for each other can never be shared between Pakhi and him for obvious reasons..Can Pakhi consider Virat her brother...even after going on the right path because of what they have shared in the past..Sai was appalled with the comparison, since her and mohit are way different. . They are more like siblings to each other. Mohit has called Sai is younger sister in one episode... .

For instance if you see the fight when Ladakh was cancelled, and when he told PP what Sai thinks, he had a disgusted look on his face informing PP about Sai's galatfehmi.. However it turned out to be true right.. PP has feelings for Virat and he knows that? Then why be surprised? Just because he considers her his bade bhai ki wife, doesnt change the fact that she is still in love with him and he knows that and he had some feelings for her back then...which is not in any which way equivalent to the feelings Mohit has for Sai or vice-versa..

Virat's expressions to me seemed coming from a combination of guilt and fright. Guilt that he did not believe Sai when she told him of Pakhi's feelings (hopefully it is not amnesia). More than guilt, it was fright that Sai is aware of his past (which she is), she still feels very strongly (which she does) and consequently she may leave him.

If Virat accepts his past and clarifies to Sai that he is over Pakhi, why would Sai leave him? Why does he have this compulsive need to deny it beyond me.

As somebody mentioned he was probably scared of Sai bringing up that topic in front of everyone.

He is shocked because according to him he cleared everything with sai. The way he behaved with pakhi in the hospital is enough for him to think that sai has seen his status with pakhi. From his side he believes he has same relation with pakhi (at present) as mohit has with sai. He expects sai also to believe that altleat after hospital arguments but he is shocked sai is still stuck there . Here sai also referred to their relationship from pakhis perspective not virats but thee two never communicate with each other as much as with others so they don’t get to know what other thinks of them clearly. They go in circles. 😳

Hmmm. Makes sense I suppose. Still, either Virat has some sort of reluctance in spelling it out to Sai clearly that his feelings have changed. Or may be he does not think explanation necessary because he is trying to convey the same through his actions. Sai on the other hand wants verbal communication. So they end up being stuck in the same spot.
