Everyone was behaving as if Covid did not exist. the partying, weddings etc.

There was no social distancing whatsoever. I had gone to a wedding and not a single person was wearing a mask in Feb.

I understand all this. But the reason we live as a collective society and nation is for times like this. The level of selfishness that I keep hearing about astounds me. Even in the US, they're gearing up for July to be "back to normal" and I fear we'll get another wave due to it. Thankfully vaccination will help many, so we won't have a repeat of last March.

I just fear without better preparation, the economy that India seems to care about will not have the young people to drive it.

As I write all this in my safe home, employed, miles away, with a full stomach.
