Agreed 💯
Exactly the writers here rarely think the depth of a character bass according to situation and to bring thriller out of now where they change the characters shade. Non of the characters have a good character graph. In such case that's why some episodes turn out good while some doesn't even feel like watching, its just like one episodic story sometimes. when u analyse the whole sequence and story nothing connects ultimately whole thing we end up saying its a phusk.
Even thou they have improved to some extent in ott. Writting department of this production house needs to improve more. Thou, they have ideas their projection is really lousy and messy.
Yeah...In OTT, they have improved the writing..there is a flow which is good..even with the unexpected roadblocks, they are being flexible now and the flow is still intact.
But the problem was that we never saw IMMJ as a regular ITV show. When it was endorsed as a thriller, the main feature that needs to be in a thriller is logic, which was missing in the show.
Another is the connection we had to the charismatic character of the show, VRS. He was very different than ITV characters which pulled as towards him. A family guy+ mafia with principles and a love for his mother. We knew that he ll fall one day..we knew there would be a revenge track from his side. We were all waiting for it. It was the crux of the show. But him compromising with his principles was something we could never forgive. He can be a mafia now, a smart thinker, quick on his feet and a good husband...But its hard to forget everything.
That's why we said a reboot was necessary. it would have washed out everything, every loophole, every damage done to the characters. But now, even if the writing has become better and we are somewhat getting the smart Vansh who we wanted to see and also the riddhima who can stand up to the snakes of the family, its hard to forget everything that has happened.
