I think I got carried away with this one towards the end. 😂
“Ae gadhera, kaam se kaam rakh.” Shiva was in fact scared to hear what she will say about him, especially in front of his family. He tried to drag her away again, but she stopped him again.
“Shiva toh meri zindagi ka sabse bara bhootnath hai.” Raavi said. Shiva looked at her angrily. “Par iska mujhe bhi kuch samajh nahi aata hai. Tujhe main “I hate you” bhi kahu toh woh khokhla lagta hai. Kyuki I don’t hate you. Bilkul bhi nahi. Bohot gussa aata hai, par phir zyada der gussa nahi reh pati hu. Tu na bohot confusing hai Shiva.”
“Toh samajhne ki koshish mat kar.” Shiva shouted as his temper flared. This girl couldn’t say anything nice about him.
“Shiva! Woh hosh mein nahi hai. Aise kyu bol raha hai?” Dhara shouted.
“Nahi nahi. Raavi, tujhe iss raakshash ke saath rehne ki koi zaroorat nahi. Main ek bohot achhe divorce lawyer ko janti hu. Ek signature aur tujhe iss rishte main nahi rehna parega.” Maami said.
Shiva looked as if he would strangle maami right there.
“Phui bas. Kya kar rahi ho aap? Raavi kitni khush hai yaha. Sab isse kitna pyaar karte hai aur aap ho ki uski life spoil karna chahti ho. Exactly jaise aapne meri life spoil ki thi.” Anita spoke out.
“Tu chup kar. Raavi, yeh shaadi nahi chahti thi.” She held Raavi’s hand. “Tu sach sach bol tu iss rishte mein rehna chahti hai ya nahi.”
Raavi didn’t react for a while. Then she started crying.
“Hey bhagwaan!” Dhara exclaimed. “Yeh royegi toh roye hi jayegi.”
“Yeh kaagri toh sirf logon ko rulana janti hai.” Suman said.
“Raavi tu meri taraf dekh.” Prafulla said. “Tu divorce chahti hai?”
“Nahiii.” Raavi started crying. “Main bilkul bhi divorce nahi chahti hu. Aap kyu baar baar divorce ki baat karte ho? Mujhe nahi karna divorce.” She hugged Shiva and started crying.
“Beta tu mat ro. Koi nahi kahega divorce ki baat!” Dhara said.
“Tu mujhe divorce nahi dega na Shiva?” She asked. “Sab mujhe chor ke chale jaate hai, mummy, papa, Dev, sab koi. Tu nahi jayega na? Tu chala gaya toh mera koi nahi. Please mat jaa.”
Shiva didn’t know why but he got tears in his eyes. He gently cupped Raavi’s face and said, “Nahi jaunga. Promise.”
Raavi finally stopped crying and Shiva wiped his tears away before anyone could notice. But his Dhara di had noticed everything. She could read him like a book. “Tu Raavi ko kamre mein le jaa.”
“Ji bhabi.” Shiva picked up Raavi and took her to their bedroom and laid her on their bed. He slipped off her shoes.
“Shiva.” Raavi called out and sat up.
“Kya?” Shiva sat beside her.
“I hate you. Maine tera dil dukhaaya tha na yeh bolke? Sacchi mein, I don’t hate you. Main bas tujhe hurt karna chahti thi. Tu mujhe chorke chala gaya tha. Sab ki tarah. Tere jaane se mujhe sabse zyada takleef hui, kyuki main humesha se sabse zyada bharosa tujhpe karti hu. Tu mujhe chorke kyu gaya tha? Shiva mujhe bohot takleef hoti hai jab koi mujhe chorke jata hai toh.”
“Main nahi gaya tha. Wapas aane wala tha main.”
“Sachhi?”
“Sacchi.”
Raavi hugged him, and he hugged her back. “Tu mujhe itna bura bhi nahi lagta. Kabhi kabhi toh bohot achha lagta hai.”
“Kab? Humesha toh mujhe kiraane ki dukan bulati rehti hai.”
“Kiraane ki dukaan toh tu hai. Woh bekar ke gande, purane shirts pehenna chor de toh tu bohot achha lagega. Waise bhi bina shirt ke tu kitna hot lagta hai.”
“Maami ki behen ki beti, tu toh bari besharam nikli.” Shiva smiled. He had never expected in his wildest dreams that Raavi would compliment him on his physical appearance, let alone call him hot.
“Besharam kyu? Apne husband ko hi hot keh rahi hu. Kisi aur ke pati ko nahi.”
“Chal ab bakwaas bandh kar aur so jaa.”
“Nahi main so nahi sakti Shiva. Main gir jaungi.”
“Ae gadheri hum bed pe baithe hai. Kidhar giregi?”
“Nahi Shiva. Tune promise kiya tha tu mujhe chorega nahi.”
“Achha thik hai.”Shiva put his arm around her shoulder and she laid her head on his chest. She clung on to him tightly, to not fall. After a while both of them fell asleep.

When Raavi woke up, she found herself in Shiva’s arms. Why was she sleeping with him? Then slowly her memories came back and she felt her cheeks redden. She acted so stupidly in front of the whole family. And Shiva was a whole different matter. She picked up her phone to see the time. It was evening now, but she found a message from Krish. She opened it to find pictures of herself and Shiva. Oh god! This was so embarrassing. She was clinging to him tightly in every picture. “From your favourite devar.”
Raavi decided she needed to apologise for her behaviour. She crept out of the bed and headed out to the hall where everyone has gathered for tea. Raavi was nervous. As soon as they saw her, they asked her to join them. Raavi half expected them to be mad at her. She sat with everyone.
“Aa Shiva, tu bhi chai pi le.” Dhara said.
This bhootnath had also woken up. Raavi didn’t have the courage to face him at all.
“Aa na Shiva. Raavi bhabi ko pakad kar baith warna woh gir jayegi.” Krish said.
Raavi blushed. Shiva hit him on the head and sat beside Raavi.
“I’m sorry aaj subah ke liye. Maine pata nahi kya kya keh diya.” Raavi said.
“Koi baat nahi Raavi. Tune galti se bhaang pi li thi. Teri koi galti nahi hai.”
“Haa aur bohot maza aaya.” Krish said. “Aapko woh pictures mili hai na?”
Raavi felt like she could be swallowed up by the earth right about now. Why her God? Now everyone was going to tease her.
“Ae gadhera, faltu ki bakwaas mat kar.”
“Kaafi possessive ho rahe ho.” Krish said. “Tab toh kaafi emotional ho rahe the.”
“Lagta hai tera maar khane ka bohot mann kar raha hai.”
“Bhabi aapne kaha tha aap mujhe protect karogi.”
“Chup kar Krish. Kitni bakwaas karega.” Gaumbi smiled.
They drank their tea silently so as to not made Raavi feel uncomfortable anymore. Suddenly Shiva winced in pain. Raavi saw that he had spilled a little tea on his hand. She took his hand and started blowing it.
“Sorry woh chai bohot ‘hot’ thi.” Shiva said, putting special emphasis on the ‘hot.’
Raavi gasped. She couldn’t believe Shiva could be so besharam. He was reminding her of what she said. She immediately dropped his hand and started talking to her bhabi on some random topic. When no one was looking, Shiva moved closer to Raavi. She felt it, but decide to ignore him.
“Aaj raat ko bedroom mein main shirt nahi pehnunga. Promise.” He whispered into her ear.
He was such an evil person, torturing her like this! She got up and went and sat with Mami and began talking again. Shiva noticed her phone in her hand. So he texted her instead.
“Strong toh Shiva hai. Phir Maami ke paas kyu gayi?”
Raavi was shocked. He was in a very different mood today. Her phone again buzzed.
“Ab itna kyu sharma rahi hai? Tera hi pati hu, kisi aur ka nahi.”
Raavi had had it! She texted him back. “Tu mujhe pareshaan karna bandh kar warna main maasi ke saath wapas chali jaungi.”
“Jhoot mat bol. Apne hot pati ke bina reh nahi payegi tu.”
“Tu na abhi bhi chalte firte kiraane ki dukan hai, aur main Somnath ki sabse beautiful ladki. Sapne dekhna chor de.”
“Chipkali kahi ki.”
“Aap dono itna kya phone mein ghuse hue ho?” Krish suddenly pointed out.
Both Raavi and Shiva immediately hid their phones. Everyone looked at them in surprise. Gaumbi and Dhara were enjoying this new version of Shiva-Raavi in front of their eyes.
“Lagta hai inn logo ko thodi privacy ki zaroorat hai.” Gaumbi said. “Tum dono chaho toh bedroom mein jaake chai pi sakte ho.”
“Haa Gaumbi. Pith akar gayi hai. Agar chudail itna jakar ke soyegi toh pith toh akregi. Toh main jata hu room mein.”
Raavi wasn’t going to leave him. He said that in front of everyone. She was once again embarrassed. Her phone vibrated again.
“Room mein aa jaldi. Family time bohot hua.”
Raavi felt butterflies in her stomach. She excused herself saying that she was still sleepy, but everyone knew what was happening. As she reached, she found her shirtless husband waiting for her. He was hot! But she needed to take revenge for what happened just now.
“Hot?”
“Not.” And she threw a pillow at him.
