When she went for a yoga resort, her mother was finding alliance for her, and there chavans were also finding match for Samrat, they liked pakhi on a matrimonial site and Chavans called pakhi's parents for the alliance, being from a good reputed family as they claim her parents wanted this alliance, here pakhi had meet virat, since virat had leave as he got his 1st posting, pakhi wrote her number on her palm, the number got erased from the palm but viru took the pic but some how his phn flyed of from the car and was damaged. he lost the contact, here when she returned she was waiting for Virat's call she told about him to her best friend and their parents asked to meet samrat which she denied. There Virat was asked Sunny to find Pakhi's number and Pakhi or her friend all arranged Virat's number, she called virat, Virat failed to recognize her voice and instead of introducing herself to virat she disconnected the call and blocked his number assuming that virat was mere doing time pass with her and is cheat.
she told her parents about meeting virat and they convinced her to meet samrat and move on with the incident. Thats why I mentioned instead her parents giving her time to come out of the situation they asked her to marry and she took a practical decision about moving on. But she wanst in that state of mind and thats one of the reasons she was quite when she meet Samrat.

( i started watching from Sai's entry in CN) .. but whatever the case be... i saw a clip where her father is asking her if she is sure, if not they can cancel it.. there is no pressure.. told her this vaada is paagalpan.. and she responded saying pyaar is paagalpan.. Even after listening to his daughters stupid paagalpan why he as a father did not take a decision to cancel the wedding stating your reasons are not rational and wedding will be doom?? To me he failed as a father..
This I agree as a father he should have said not to marraige.
@ Blue - Why should Virat fight for her when she was the one who decided to move on based on just one call? Virat fights for Sai as he married her even if it under pressure... He owns his decisions.
When she meet virat and viru clarified that he tried contacting her, that time she asked viru to reveal his family about them, trust me that time when i saw the seq I felt I am seeing the last part of Jab we meet, where Anshuman said, u havnt reveal its okay, lets go and tell you family zada say zada they be angry but say we wanna marry, sab kuch same rahega but instead of Aditya it will be Anshuman, and here its Virat instead of Samrat, Thats why I said he dint fight for her, rather he convinced her promised her of not allowing any other girl in his life,
@ Green - In the show we are show scenario of Samrat leaving, a lot of you'll have discussed about Samrat not leaving in spite of hearing his wife's confession for his brother?
What we meant was if samrat dint got to know about her and virat, like virat after understanding observing and sai fell for her sai, U never know if samrat was there instead of having pakhi having her full attention on virat and sairat, may be that time she would also get to know samrat and may be have fell foe her u never know
What if Samrat would have never heard PP's call to VIrat? In that case what would PP do? Have a normal marital relationship with her husband and forget vaada?
So to me Vaada is just a weapon use by PP to get what she wants.. there is no emotional connection to it
Patralekha needs psychiatric help - this much has always seemed evident to me. Frankly writers failed to characterize her and her relationship with Virat properly.
Most viewers here have problem with Pakhi because of how her relationship with Virat was shown - which was practically non existent. No one could connect to their so called love story and in any story forming connection with characters matter.
Virat hold some amount of blame. What was he thinking offering to remain celibate in order to save his evidently abusive family's face? He made himself, Samrat and Pakhi vulnerable to a cruel situation. Honestly how did he become an IPS officer with such clouded judgement? Pakhi being the unrealistic person that she is, agreed as well. Virat reinforced her unrealistic outlook by failing to correct her more forcefully once he married Sai.
Pakhi needs a long vacation from Chavan house and several therapy sessions to come back to any semblance of sanity.

Your post gives a glimpse of why Pakhi is the way she is. She has always been a black box for me.
I don't know what the writers had in mind, but there has certainly been a communication gap between the writers and director,actress on what the role exactly is. For example, whether the reasons for her temperament as you have described in your post have been acknowledged and portrayed.
@ red that is my biggest issue... normalizing an abnormal behavior.. No one in the show as characters feel that Pakhi has some issues .. and off screen the actor playing it, is not able to understand and accept her character.. it is but obvious it won't convert on screen..
And yesterday's off screen drama proved it that all this is just care, concern and love..
Its unfortunate that a Women's NO should be considered NO .. but when the gender reverses.. the same doesn't hold true
