It makes the story far more interesting this way. They both have lost but will win later on. They have to start from scratch. I think the makers may have decided to tone things down since they showed that promo. Neither of them is that aggressive in the current track. Let's see.

I don't think it's the fact that he's not her first husband that would bother him. It's more the fact that there's this whole aspect of her life that he was clueless about that will bug him. Whatever happened to him being born smart? I hope he also realizes that Deshmukhs are her in-laws and not own family, but who knows? He's a bit clueless sometimes.

I think they changed some things in the story line. That promo was shot a month ago and then lock down happened. Currently there is no Badla in shaadi only majboori
