This is why it's a bad idea for celebrities to publicly 'date'. Mishal and Ali were together for years, and then he goes and marries someone else; it's just not nice for the girl in the equation.
From a religious stand point - this is part of the reason 'dating' is prohibited. You don't know if the relationship will last and when it breaks down the girl suffers.
Hopefully she's happy in her life and when the time's right will find her perfect match as well.

Food for thought is - Why. Why does only the girl suffer? Why is it okay for guys to date many but not for a girl to get out of one relationship. Let's normalize being in relationship and also getting out of a wrong relationship, for both genders equally.
Having said that, i too don't think celebrities ahould publicly flaunt their relationship unless they are quite a bit sure or if they truly don't care about the gossips that is going to remain on internet forever.
