CHAPTER 9:SHIMMER AND GLIMMER
Anokhi got back to her room fuming in anger.But what she couldn't figure out was why was she so angry.Not all the people in the world can like you but then are we hurt by them?Thoughts were engulfing Anokhi's mind suddenly she heard a sound.
A stone was thrown inside her room from the window.She fumed and rushed to check who it was but found no one.
Then as she was turning back again a stone came from the window.She fumed and shouted,"Kaun hai yeh batameez abhi batati hoon isse mai".She went to the window but found no one again.But this time she closed the window.
As she went to pick up the stone she found it was wrapped by a paper this time.She curiously opened it and it was written-
"BRACELET CHAIYE???
AGAR HAN TOH PARK MAI AA JAO
AUR NHI TOH DON'T COME"
Anokhi got restless seeing this.She was marching from one end of the room to another thinking whether to go or not.
Muje jana chaiye?Han nikki tuje jana chaiye her reflection in mirror said.
Lakin yeh koi mazak Hua toh?
Reflection:Aisa mazak kaun karega?Jaa aur leke aa isse phele woh fir kho jaaye"
Han muje Jana chaiye mai jaungi.Mai darti thodi na hoon.I don't fear anything...
Anokhi rushed outside her room with a torch as she was a little scared of dark.
She reached the park and flashed the light all around but there was no one.She thought mazak hi tha yeh kya sahi mai.
Dejected she started going back but something stopped her and that was the beauty of the open night sky.She sat on the bench nearby and adored the sky full of stars.It was a full moon night and was surreal.
Anokhi:Shayad isse hi jannat kehte hai kitna sundar hai yeh...
Suddenly a voice came from behind breaking her peaceful glare,"Taare kuch zyada hi pasand hai tumhe.You love stars Miss Bhalla"
She recognised the voice and stood up in anger.Sir I told you na muje aapse....
Before she could turn back and say anything more Shaurya said,"Inn stars ke baare mai kya khayaal h Anokhi"...saying this he opened his hand and brought it forward to Anokhi's face.
The next she could she was a stars sparkling from Shaurya's hand and all the diamonds reflecting their shine on her face.
ANOKHI STOOD SPEECHLESS AND SHAURYA KEPT STARING HER FACE IN THE SOFT MOONLIGHT WHICH NOW GLOWED WITH THE SHINE OF DIAMONDS OF THE BRACELET HE HAD IN HIS HAND.
"Yeh aapke pass",Anokhi got excited.
Han Anokhi yeh bracelet Maine utha liya tha uss din and tab se sambhal ke rakha hai.Shaurya smiled.
"Aapne sambhal ke.But why sir"
"Because I wanted to meet the girl who was so fearless to risk her own life for a puppy and this bracelet seemed to me a link to meet her again and you see here we are"Shaurya said looking deep into her eyes.
Anokhi turned her head a little avoiding his hypnotic gaze and said so woh stones aapne throw kiye the?
"Han",Shaurya laughed.
She made a goofy face.How can you do this sir what if muje lagg jata.She said being angry.
"That's why I threw two.First I did a test run to know where you are and then boom the final",he laughed more this time and Anokhi got angry.She jumped to snatch her bracelet from Shaurya's hand but he lifted his hand up and poor Anokhi couldn't reach the height.
"Itni jaldi bhi kya hai Anokhi.Aise hi bracelet thodi milega."
"Sir de dijiye na please please",Anonki sighed.
No Miss Bhalla not like this.
"Then?",asked anokhi confused.
"Keemat lagegi",Shaurya smirked.
"What sir Kemmat..
What do you want"Anokhi asked hesitantly and stepped back a little.
Shaurya being a tease came closer to held and bent.He whispered in her ears which made Anokhi shudder.We will have a deal Miss Bhalla and listening to his husky voice she felt her heartbeat quicken.
What deal sir what are you saying,she said fumbling and blushing.She couldn't help but their proximity was affecting her and she was so new to these emotions.
"Not much Miss Bhalla.We will have a deal that we will start new and mend out our equation and you dare nor avoid me."Shaurya said.
Anokhi felt relaxed and said okay sir I am ready to forget everything as this bracelet means a ..
Shaurya cut her in between and said "I know I got the letter.And this bracelet also deserves someone like to adore.You know tumhare iss bracelet her muje hurt bhi kiya pair mai itna loyal hai tumhare liye yeh"
And they both laughed.
"Ab toh de dijiye sir mera bracelet mujse wait nhi ho rha hai",Anokhi said.
"Aise nhi",he said.
"Ab kya hua",she asked confused.
Before she could figure out things Shaurya bent on his knees and took her hand and tied the bracelet there.
Anokhi was shocked but all what she knew was her heart was racing like never before.
She was feeling butterflies in her stomach
They both looked deep into each others eyes and in the moment Shaurya kissed her hand gently sending shivers down her spine and whispered I am sorry Anokhi.
She immediately pulled her hand from his grip and said fumbling
Sir I should go now.
Shaurya also felt embarrassed about what he just did and they both made ways to their places.
"Thank you sir"Anokhi said.
And they both left whispering to themselves,"Yeh kya ho kya rha muje" and smiled sheepishly.
Love was blooming for sure and the moonlight and stars this day were the witness of the beautiful journey that has started.

Shaurya was pacing in the garden back and forth as if he was trying to drive this attention again and again from something.
But the fact was he couldn't believe what he did just few hours back and that too without her permission.She is you student Shaurya how can you behave like that with her.You kissed her palm.How can you?
"God!This girl is driving me crazy.I need to stop right here.From now onn this girl will not bother me",Shaurya gave himself a pep talk.

6 months later:
"These are beautiful",Anokhi said.
"Yes as they are.Seems as if someone has sprinkled glitter in the sky.We rarely get to see such a sight in Chandigarh",he said and put his hand on Anokhi's shoulder so as to support her neck from spraining and they both giggled.
What are you two doing here suddenly a voice called them from behind in an angry tone.
They both got up immediately.
"What are you two doing here at this time",Shaurya asked in an angry tone from Akash.
"Sir,we just came to see the stars.",He said.
"Okay but this time it's not safe here you both go back to your rooms right now",Shaurya said.
As they both were leaving Anokhi tripped on a stone but before Shaurya could get a hold on her Akash held her in his embrace and she passed a smiled.
Shaurya was seeing this as was agitated.He couldn't stand Anokhi in Akash's arms.
"Thank you akash",Anokhi said while trying to get her balance but she was about to trip again.But this time Shaurya made no mistake he held Anokhi by her arm and supported her.
"I think your leg is sprained Miss Bhalla you are not in a position to walk",Shaurya said.
"No sir,it's all alright I will get to my room now.Thank you",she said moving her eyes away from him.
Meanwhile Akash has taken hold on Anokhi and was taking her that Shaurya stopped him.
"Akash you go to your room.I will bring Anokhi"
"Okay sir.Tell me anything you need Anokhi",Akash said unwillingly leaving from there.
As Akash left Anokhi tried to escape from Shaurya but her condition didnt let her.Shaurya pulled her into his arms and in a deep voice said,"Till when you are going to escape from me?"
"I am escaping oh really sir.People don't see their own actions",Anokhi said.
You are avoiding me since the day you gave me my bracelet.You stay aloof and are always angry on me and then you are asking me this?
Anokhi fumed in anger.
Shaurya knew he has avoided her all the time but he couldn't still resist her.She has made a soft corner for herself in his heart.Whenever he saw Anokhi with Akash he used to scold her and that has made Akokhi go aloof too.
This is the only reason Shaurya got the batch on a trip to goa so that he can get some time with Anokhi and tell her what he feels for her.But here also she was always with that guy and this drove him crazy mad.
"Anokhi",Shaurya said.
"Sir I don't want to talk just let me go"
Shaurya hold tightened on Anokhi and when she tried to escape he scooped her into his arms and carried her to his room despite all the protests Anokhi did.
He put her in bed and bolted the door then took the the muscle spray and ice pack to soothe her foot.
"Miss Bhalla you are injured.Let me please",Shaurya said.
Anokhi was in pain so she has to agree and allowed him to treat her leg.
As soon as Shaurya sprayed the medicine it gave a tingling sensation to Anokhi and in response she closed her eyes and clutched Shaurya's shoulder tightly.
Shaurya felt a chill running down his spine with her touch on him.
He caressed her foot and his touch made Anokhi shudder.
Both of them were so close to each other.Shaurya looked at Anokhi her eyes still closed.
Call it the vulnerability of night or the sudden closeness,he leaned forward and kissed her on her lips.
And Anokhi opened her eyes in shock.
