Nowadays in Marathi weddings, we have 2 mangalsutra, the long one in typical style with 2 waatis, and a smaller one in contemporary style which is generally given to her at a pooja which happens later on. I generally wear artificial ones only, real ones only on special occasions but most of the ladies in my family wear real MS everyday.

I see everyone talking about the types of MS here and I personally didn’t know there are so many types to it. I wore mine only for 2 days (the wedding and the day after) then it’s safely kept🤣

Same here.

I wore all real jewellery for 3-4 days and gave all to my mom to keep in locker.

I have only taken it out for 2-3 occasions in the last 2 n half years.
