This gotta be one of the most satisfying & best episodes in the show till date. Barring few other episodes, this episode made lot of sense, was practical & entertaining..

The start of the episode was heart wrenching and complete destruction of Anokhi's expectations from a birthday surprise. Itni safai se jhut bolne ke liye DeviGun ke muh mei keede padenge 👍🏼

I had tears in my eyes watching Anokhi's silence. The way she was trying hard to control her emotions moved me. I was like 'Wth girl, you don't need to do that!' when she took that flower & gave it to Upshagun. It was common courtesy I guess 😓 Aur... Ofc, devi toh Devi-l hi rahegi. She's stupid or what? She really didn't see or is it the writers fault that she said the party was arranged for Shagun, whom nobody had invited? Plus itna bada 'Happy b'day' letters bhi attached hai peeche board par. Along with losing her senses, has she gone blind as well? 🤣

She waited.

She looked at him and waited for him to speak up against these lies.

Anokhi knew that Shaurya loves her, she did not distrust him but hoped that he would deny all this because today was clearly supposed to be their day. Her birthday was suppose to be special for both of them. Right until the moment she walked out, she waited for him to say SOMETHING for THEM.

It didn't cross my mind for Shaurya to speak for Anokhi until she stated feeding cake. I was like 'Shaurya, mooh kolo. Say something to Devi & stop this crap' but I understood his state. When you're too shocked to react it happens. Its neither Shaurya nor Anokhi's fault

Anokhi feeling dejected with Shaurya's behaviour is justified. Her expectations were more from him & he disappointed her. But like I said the moment was so wrong, timing was wrong.

They were shattered.

Just look at the tears pooling in his eyes already! Shaurya knew they were rapidly going downhill. He knew that she was going away not just physically, but also emotionally.

Her birthday was not just about saying "I Love You, Anokhi."

It was about starting that new life she breathed into his being.

Ikr? Her feeling so special thanks to him & his surprises making her the happiest girl on her b'day were so important to Anokhi but the pain she felt with the unexpected announcement is altogether a mess. Shaurya was caught in a dilemma under the name of 'Sabherwal's' who has everything but except few people, all are shameless in their own way. He couldn't just leave everything because it was his family & he was puzzled how to react. He just knew that as soon as he gets the time, he would go find Anokhi

He was so frustrated (I want to use another word 🤓) But yes, the feeling was eating him from inside. First that Devi-l ma had to made a freaking wrong announcement & then the girl he loves had to congratulate him for a non-existent relationship & finally she left him from there, all alone..

Let's talk.

"Sab ke samne... Itna bada faisla le liya aapne."

This pretty much says a lot about the reason he kept quiet.

He was quiet for whatever reasons he had, but does not mean he had nothing to say! In fact he had a lot to say.

"Kya mera haqq nahi banta?"

"Yeh decision bhi mera haqq hai, Badi Maa."

I was so shocked seeing a guy talk to the woman who brought him up like this. Firstly since I've not seen this much in other shows (Though I've seen some classy unique scenes) & ofc, how Shaurya always respected his badi ma. We knew that he would run towards Anokhi to mend things but this scene was a shocker

It was refreshing to see him asking for his rights, right to live the life he wants, right to make decisions for himself & right to choose the lady he wants to marry

Kudos to SAAKK for giving us a strong and determined ML who knows what is right and what is wrong. Shaurya is aware of his mistakes and he is also aware of the mistakes made by others around him. This was not his anger speaking at all. These were the questions inside his head and he was not hesitant to ask. He knew he has been wronged.

Ikr. This Shaurya who has always been manipulated by his namesake mother & father finally taking a stand for himself is a major highlight. Otherwise in other dramas what we see is the guy unwillingly agreeing to stuff his parents decide. For a change, Shaurya has a back bone ✌🏻 Him being wronged & Shaurya speaking agaisnt it was gold

The Burden.

"Ek baar mujhse pucha nahi! Meri permission nahi li! Mera consent nahi liya, kuch nahi liya! Bas..."

This had anger and frustration. And he had full intention to go off on Devi Sabherwal regardless of what her intention of this sudden engagement was.

The universal truth is that we as common people are always scared to put our opinion out. Whether its about someone else or ourselves, thinking of repercussions. Whether I should say this, is this right, do I have the right to take a stand? So many questions but here, in this situation, Shaurya actually blamed the 'so-called' mom who brought him up with the correct pointers. Valid justification. That was such a broad step for any ITV drama I guess.

What we see is characters on ITV not speaking at the proper time they should open their mouth but jo bhi hua, at least later Shaurya took a stand that was necessary for his life to move forward. He was brave enough to tell of BM 👏

"Tab bhi nahi pucha tha jab tumhari Maa ek chaar saal ke bacche ko chod kar gayi, aur maine tumhe apni god mei le liya tha"

Devi Sabherwal played her ace against Shaurya by reminding him of her "ehsaan" but today even that did not earn her any brownie points.

It did mellow him down a little though! He was again reminded of the burden she took in her arms after his mother left him and it burdened his shoulders with modesty that he should not forget the great deeds of Mrs. Devi Sabherwal.

Mellowed or not, Shaurya didn't falter nor hesitate but stood intact. He didn't suppress his own views about this take of BM in his life. BM was testing my patience with the stupid emotional blackmailing for once I felt he'll bow his head down because we know his behavioural patterns.

Yes, parents or elders close to you has a right to take decisions for you but important decisions like this? No sweety BM, you don't have a god darn say in this. Its his life & Shaurya is not the freaking kid whom you snatched away from his mother & brought up with manipulation 🤬 By saying the same thing again & again or screaming on top of your lungs won't justify how much you care for a child or won't measure your love for him. That's all I wanna say to he

The one who is suffering.

"Don't make it about yourself!

Yeh aapke baare mei nahi hai, Yeh mere baare mei hai!

Meri Zindagi hai!"

This was the best line of the entire episode! And I dare you to disagree 😈

Before my parents were to watch the episode I specifically told them to watch this scene & the dialogues Shaurya says. They were agreeing with me about the strength & need of the hour for him to say this. That's the impact it had on me, so I agree 1000%

He cried for two reasons:

1. Anokhi was heart broken and so was he.

2. Badi Maa had again tried to manipulate him by trying to strong arm him.

Until today, I always thought that Shaurya will never openly talk about Devi's emotional blackmail every time she wanted him to do something on her command. Even when I believed that he will fight for Anokhi and their love, I thought it would be in a certain manner and keeping Rishto ki Maryada in mind (which btw would mostly come from the burden of Ehsaan).

But, Shaurya proved me wrong!

Yeah, I wrote the same. Shaurya was going bonkers trynna find his girl but he made sure that no one can decide the way he wants to choose his life partner. That's commendable. This step of Shaurya's is only the beginning for many more ties to come breaking down, finally crumbling Devi-l's evil planning

The True Love.

"Shaurya, she loves you!"

Devi Sabherwal knew what she was doing all these years. She consciously made sure Shaurya knew that he was unloved and he gets left behind. She tried to coax him that this is his chance at true love. And she played that trick right where it was needed but alas, he didn't care that there was a certain Shagun Kapoor who loves him.

I can agree. I didn't think this deeply, the making sure part. Its true. Devi is the mom Shaurya never asked for but had to accept because he had no choice. He was a kid with no idea about life, who just knew that his mom left him to make a career.

Taking advantage of the situation devi made sure he feels obligated & indebted for life for them. Shagun is not even at the back of his mind which is funny 😆

The Selfish.

"I don't love her! Mai kisi aur se pyaar karta hu!"

He is extremely selfish about Anokhi and he has no intention on compromising with situations when it comes to her. Shaurya does not care about who is trying to chain him down from chasing her.

Hm... Yes, its selfishness & weird I didn't feel it that way 😄 Love is selfish afterall. Special appreciation for the voice modulation of KV here, you can literally get goosebumps with that backlash in that commanding tone 👏

One should be aware of what they want in life & Shaurya just voiced his feelings giving a mini heart attack to BM 🤣

This is the first person he wants ONLY for himself, and he is ready to fight tooth and nail for her, not caring who he has to fight against. These feelings are new but very intense, real, raw... And he is not afraid of them.

He knows what happened in the party was a big hit to their budding relationship.

Ikr? That feeling is so special & he went to the actual extent of not having his senses in order & getting in to an accident just because Anokhi rejected hearing him. The passionate & intense love ❤️

The silent heartbreak.

Anokhi is acting like its not really painful, but its actually breaking her part from the inside.

Anokhi has handled this situation like a mature person, seeing reasons that Sabherwals and Shagun showed her. Anokhi is heartbroken not because she feels cheated, but because she was hoping he would stand for them. The fear, the insecurities and the dilemma is real! Shaurya and Anokhi are in the same boat, and if they fight... They have to fight for them. Not just for her.

Anokhi was deeply hurt with how her b'day gave her the biggest shock, how the day turned out to be worse. She was too numb to do anything, that's why she almost got hit by a vehicle. She was also being practical realising there's no 'mel' of her & Shaurya.

THEIR LOVE.

No relationship involves only one single person. If it is focused on only one person all the time, the relationship is most likely to fall apart quickly. So, efforts have to be made by both Shaurya and Anokhi. She is not vengeful that Shaurya was silent but very understanding that its a difficult situation and he could not stand up for them.

I'm glad I could immediately understand what these two are going through while watching. Sometimes we fail to relate to the characters, thankfully Shaurya & Anokhi weren't complicated in this situation. They should communicate, understand eo, understand their povs, learn to trust & then face the fact that they love eo a lot.

One was out there venting disappointment,

The other chose to cry on the inside in silence.

Its true that words can be hurtful,

But silence can be damaging as well.

Shaurya was silent at the party, Anokhi was in lobby.

I felt equally bad for both of them. The unsaid feelings, silence was killing both of them. This is new for the both of them, they should give themselves some time I guess

There are two sides of a coin, Shaurya and Anokhi are both right on their own sides and they need more clarity of the situation before they start cleaning the mess around them. Anokhi and Shaurya are really opposite poles who are attracted towards each other. They can try to resist it, but their nature are will bring them together.

Right now, the disappointment of the ruined day and pain is greater than "how do we fix this?"

Exactly. They are rightfully so attracted to eo with their opposite traits, which they actually like about eo. Specially Shaurya who always praises Anokhi for her talent & courage & Anokhi who knows Shaurya has changed a lot after she came in to his life.

They need eo no matter what & I think that's the beauty of this chapter in their lives. The assurance from one another is what they mentally seek for & well, physically they want to stay together. No matter what, Anokhi wouldn't have believed Shaurya at the moment even if she let him speak to her alone. Her minds was running haywire & Shaurya was collapsing badly.

There was no dhoom-tanana and OTT drama. Just simple and raw heartbreak without the dramatics. And I really want to know WTF was in that jewelry box

Honestly speaking I like how there's no dhum tananana in the show 😆 That's so beore 2010t though Ekta mata still lives in the previous decades with her dramas 🤣🤣 The OTTness or dramatic sounds are missing plus the scenes have a subtlety to them which is great.

Guys, very honestly, we are blessed to have leads like Debattma Saha and Karanvir Sharma who pumped life to such dynamic story and such intense feelings for two absolutely well defined, magnificent characters that it seems so so so real and relatable!

I take entertainment as entertainment & yes, I guess we can collectively agree its so nice having these two as leads. They know their job & does their scenes well. Especially KV 😊 The way in which the scenes that has the two together showcases such real chemistry is attractive & sweet 😳

And if I don't post this, it would be an insult to the whole episode:

ADN Tbh while i was reading this it felt like I'm actually reading a fanfiction on two broken souls, how they felt how they wanted to scream their broken heart away. How they just wanna run away from that place...away from all those chaos to their own lil happy place which they'd planned for today!

Truly! This was supposed to be so special for them and upar se Ranjha song was playing in the bgm 😭 I was broken! I cried so many times 💔

Shit i hate badi maa with my very core this woman was never a mother. She was just an opportunistic. Nothing else her love was never unconditional it was always conditional, selfish and what not. It was more like she wanted to make astha suffer...made astha felt guilty be the guilty one infront of the world. And portrayed her self as 'mahan devi' (goddess)just like her name (which definitely she isn't)

Yes, BM and her love is not unconditional but I am 100% sure that she is under the illusion that it is. She has put herself on the pedestal of a mahan woman who did nothing but made sacrifices for a motherless child 😕 and she leaves no opportunity to remind that child of the same 😭

Even shaurya knew that her love was conditional shaurya felt these but he never said it loudly coz he felt he's in debt! Doesn't mean she will take out her haaq like this and snatched his new found happiness away from him and pushed him to a person whom he can't even stand a bit now.

Agreed. Like I had said in my ShaKhi relationship analysis thread, Shaurya has never pretended in front of Anokhi bcz he knew that she saw right through him... This is the reason why she did not like him initially like other students did. He knew that as well. Shaurya himself is aware that Anokhi knows him as Shaurya and not Mr. Shaurya Sabherwal.

I loved this shaurya...badi maa is actually a dumb! But this stupid woman has chosen to do this stupid Chipku shagun thopoying mission which literally took her 2 step away from shaurya and will take more away from him. Lol.

Devi comes with the ideology of replacement. She replaced Astha in Shaurya's life and now she wants to replace Anokhi with Shagun. Or in her world, Shaurya has replaced Shagun with Anokhi.

One thing i have understood from today's epi...no promise could hold shaurya back from anokhi. And when it comes to badi maa's promise badi maa has lost it already.

There was no chance the promise was gonna stand against ShaKhi. Shaurya is a self-aware man, had Devi tried this promise trick before Shaurya's realization of love, he would have given in (highly doubtful) but now that he knows his own feelings and his mind, there is no way he will give up especially since Anokhi reciprocates.

After 30 Years of struggle, loneliness a soul has finally found a place where it can find the peace amd this soul wont let this place go. Nor for anyone....mor for any debt. Shaurya sabherwal was never and will never be a person to stay in a debt of someone...he will definitely give them back. Time has come...

And she was rightly disappointed. Any1 in her place would have reacted the same. In fact, people who didn't understand the situation would have reacted worse!

He said Devi does not need permission from him but he also has haq to decide about himself/his life afterall it's his life. His dialogue kyun har baar mujhe prove karna padta hai made it clear openly that he is not oblivious that Devi keeps on reminding of her ehsaan to him time and again.

Another question that came to my mind was, will Devi understand that her tricks are actually out in the open and not hidden as she thinks they are!? But I guess she completely ignored Shaurya's outburst bcz she was back to her Shagun jaap.

He knew he had wronged Anokhi by not standing up for her and them but he did not want to object to his BM and family in public.

I think not! He realized it after Anokhi pointed it out to him that yes, you weren't aware of her decisions but what did you do after you came to know about it. That's when it hit him, it does not matter who said what, the real problem was what HE didn't say but he should have.

But without him speaking up they can never be together. Deba potrayed broken Anokhi so well. Her running around and silent self indulgence mode expressed how deeply broken, humiliated and hurt she is because the man she loves and who equally loves her back could not stand for her, their love in public when it was needed the most. She needs her insecurities be addressed and that can only be done if Shaurya loves her openly and openly show his love towards Anokhi by sending the message to the the world she is the only one he loves and will ever love. For, this he needs to stand up for their love whenever needed.

I am deeply relieved that this point has reached everyone! Like the moment you watch the scene, you know that what actually broke Anokhi's heart was his silence. As in, in other shows people have to sit and decode and debate over what did they actually mean.. But not ShaKhi! They made the point very clear!

I am so happy to see every1 agreeing on this point! This is what makes SAAKK unique!

I hope once Shaurya calms down he takes a stand for himself, Anokhi and their love and not let their love go to ashes like his parents.

He wont! From day 1 I have believed that Shaurya is not like Shaan. He won't fall apart. He will fight! He will fall, and get hurt but he won't fail!

For Anokhi, I feel once she is back to normal she tries and understand why could Shaurya not stand up for their love - whether he was shocked, it was obligation towards BM or making mockery of family in public.

I don't think there is much to understand for her. She knows the point... This is his family! And its not easy and she knows it! If she did not understand it, she would have been impulsive and angry but she was neither.

Today the scene I loved most was Shaurya and Devi's. When she was telling him to stop, to talk to her; notice how he cannot stand still. He says he has to go, goes in one direction and again turns back. It was as if the last thread pulling him back to Devi.

He cannot find the direction to exit.

After the confrontation, he directly finds the exit and leaves. It is like the cards are out in the open. Shaurya had been vocal about her payment regarding her love for him as well as his truth of loving someone else and not Shagun. The tether is broken and he tries his first attempt at flying untethered.

Yep! He absolutely wanted to get away from her! Firstly, bcz he was clearly mad at her for making this decision on his behalf. Second, his 1st priority was Anokhi... He really wanted to get to her at any cost.

It was as if as long as it was just him, he did not care about her ehsaan. But the moment someone he loves was hurt bcz of this burden of ehsaan, he wanted to get rid of it.

Today's episode deserves threads and threads of discussions.

Fiction taught me that there's beauty in love, but there's some kind of beauty in heartbreak as well. Because after that, you learn to be brave, you learn from your mistakes and you move on.

Beautiful! and absolutely true! Without pain and heartbreak, one would never know how deep the feelings really go.. One must embrace the heartbreak coz its all in the same package as love.

I've seen people questioning Anokhi's lack of trust in Shaurya. I just wanna say, she waited and waited till the end, but he didn't-couldn't say anything. I didn't see her trust waver, but yes, she was disappointed in him.

Actually, there was so lack of trust. She was not wondering why did he not speak up.. She was hurt that he did not. It means that she knows that it wasn't easy for him to go against his family.

I've also seen people questioning Shaurya's silence. But, please remember the kind of power Devi holds over him. He could not be disrespectful to her, plus, he was too taken aback - by the very strong Shagun to whom he clearly said that he loves someone else, by the mother figure who didn't know his heart at all.

Absolutely. The grip of Devi's ehsaan is stronger than his genuine love for her as his foster mother.

He just wanted to be happy, and for the first time, he was going to take a step in that and then Badi shook the ground under him, how was he supposed to react?

If there's something that I appreciate about Shaurya, its his clarity. As someone told me in a discussion, in the world of I-dont-know-what-im-doing ITV MLs, Shaurya shines. Yes, he may bend temporarily, but his clarity, his understanding of his emotions won't let him do too much damage.

So true! Shaurya Sabherwal raised the bar of ITV MLs!!! I absolutely STAN this man! He is strong not just physically, but also emotionally. He knows what is it that he wants and he is not afraid to make an effort for it.

Sharing some other pointers that I shared on twitter:

-Today’s episode is a kaleidoscope of emotions - Pride, Delusion, Narcissism, Betrayal, Care, Poise and Agony - matched in equal measure with amazing acting.

Together, the cvs and actors painted a breathtaking canvas of love and heartbreak.

-While Badi ma was deriving some sadistic pleasure in humiliating Anokhi, she took everything in her stride, stood strong and smiled while her heart was pierced. That’s her strength.

She can build a fortress to protect herself (and him, later) in a second.

This is also a shade of the JUGNI ANOKHI we love! She won't cry or feel ashamed of things that she is not guilty of! It actually remind me of the scene when Mr. Bhalla hit her black and blue with the stick and she didn't shed a tear.

Her self-respect above all!! 👏

-Shagun’s relationship is as artificial as the flower that Anokhi gifted her. It’s an instant gratification that can be showed off, but it won’t ever bloom for her.

-Her castle of illusion, built on their ruins will crumble soon. What she does not realise is that, along with the wrath of a man in love, she will also be opposing her own "curse".

She'll pay for selling her soul to the devil.

I believe that she is -ve.. But sometimes there is a shade on mystery underneath. I will wait before hating her completely. I think she will backstab Devi sooner or later. It can be pre-planned or it could be an instant revenge.

-The way Devi wanted Shaurya to be accountable for the emotions she invested in him, is symbolic of her self centredness. I wonder how many times has he sacrificed his happiness to prove his love?

Had she an once of love for him, she'd have eased the fissures of the past, instead in his fears, she found her gain.

Never forgetting to remind him of his abandonment, of the ehsaans, of his debt towards her - she has all but contributed to his trauma.

Exactly the reason why Shaurya has insecurities and is so emotionally volatile... Imagine being told 24x7 that you were not important enough, you were not loved enough and since nobody else could do it.. I took in... That's what has been fed to Shaurya ever since he was 4 yrs old.

-Shaurya is like that handful of sand, the more Devi tightens her hold, the more he'll trickle through her fingers and merge with those who he belongs to. The more she suffocates him, the more he'll want to be liberated.

Devi is actually trapped in her illusions. She thinks Shaurya's majboori to be patient with her as a sign of his unbound love.
