Both took wrong decisions and suffered. No third person came between.

Further virat's dialogue from precap justify it. He said when two people are attracted towards each other they will feel like spending life together but it is not necessary that the feelings will remain forever.

So in a way without even saying directly virat clarified that there was mere attraction between them which washed away with time. And with sai, he has fallen in love.

Love is worth fighting for, had their love been that stronger Virat would have gone against his family. Just like he is doing now.

But the difference is also between the person whom love, the person has to be worth fighting for. The person needs to be that strong and positive.

Pakhi had all the chances to be good in front of Virat, but she did not take them as according to her Sai was always wrong.

None of pakhi supporters or virakhi shippers ever call out pakhi's antics of eyeing up married virat despite her being married to samrat. They use excuses like pakhi only married samrat because virat told her. Wah re, matlab agar virat says "khai se ghood jaa pakhi", kya woh bhi karregi pakhi, just because Virat said? Kya gun point pe rakh ke virat ne usse kaha ke yah toh shaadi ka naam ki sooli pe char ja ya phir mere haath ki goli kaa? 🤣

A two day love story and little to no understanding or emotional connection with pakhi gave virat no motivation for him to fight against his entire family and hurt his brother.

On the other hand, his respect for Sai's father who he considered his guru, his obligation towards Sai due to her father's sacrifice for virat, his care and protectiveness for Sai alongside his emotional connection he developed with Sai was a huge factor that pushed him to stand against his family knowing fully well his family's wishes and expectations for him would have stood in the way of his obligation and duty of care towards Sai and his guru.
