Well, I was expecting Raghav Rao to do something indefensible, to say the least. Cause redemption kitna milega from Raghav's side, I have no clue. And if anyone is expecting Pallavi to give cold shoulder to the Deshmukhs, she will not. She is not cut from that kind of cloth, but I surely would want her to do that.
I was thinking the same. I don't think anything could make Pallavi turn against the Deshmukhs, atleast not now. This is not that kind of a show. If the pre-launch promos and the Mummyji promo are anything to go by, the Deshmukhs minus Sulo and Amrutha will forever remain the "good" people of the show. They're already glorified enough as the in-laws who accepted their bahu as their beti. The online audience hate them because we're able to see through their hypocrisy and because they are a hurdle to Raghvi, but I don't think ITV has progressed enough to call them out on their pretence, because they're still acting according to our "sanskaar". But when you think about it, they were sl*t-shaming Amrutha all along during that abortion track. The way Sharada confronted Sulochana about Amrutha was disgusting, but justifiable in this story because Sulo and Amrutha are the villains, hence wrong and not to mention, went against our sanskaar.
I understand that it's naive for me to expect ITV women to suddenly preach about abortion rights, women's rights over their bodies and against sl*t-shaming, but it also sheds lights on how Deshmukhs are going to be represented in the show. They are the beacons of everything right, approved with a sanskaari tag and bit of progressiveness (Pallavi doesn't have to wear a white saree, Pallavi is our beti) sprinkled on top.
Just like the abortion track, even during this track, they're probably going to paint Deshmukhs as the naive, sorry-our-judgment-was-clouded-by-the-accusations-we-knew-all-along-that-pallavi-wouldn't-do-it family. Also, I wonder if Rambo threw her out because of the accusations Raghav made or because she had been hiding the real state of the shop from them, because I really don't see them, atleast Sharada believing this nonsense.
Her fury and fire will be directed to Raghav only, kyunki sahi jagah pe gussa nahi utarna, usne Raghav se hi seekha hai😆. To isiliye they will rage against each other, but not at the people who deserve it.
Cause after this in all probability Amma and Keerti will break ties with him for his thoughtless and meaningless action, and again Pallavi will be the scapegoat.
But out of the two, Pallavi gets more leverage to her hate than Raghav, cause Pallavi has done none of the things she is accused of and Raghav actually has done everything. So whenever his MU is resolved, I have no clue how hard it will hit him. Does it hit him at all? No idea. Does he feel remorse? No idea. What toll will it take on his existing bias and budding feelings which he can't keep at bay for her.
I do think that Raghav will feel the remorse, albeit short-lived. But for the sake of drama, Pallavi wouldn't get to know about the Keerti MMS fiasco anytime soon. They're probably gonna drag this out like IPKKND– Khushi had no idea for a long time why Arnav forced her into marriage and was being a dick to her. About the misunderstandings affecting Raghav's feelings, I think that will play a major role in him realising his feelings for her. I don't really want him to fall in love with her because the misunderstandings have been cleared and he "realises" what a nice girl Pallavi is (saving his mom by donating blood). I want it to happen organically and when finally all misunderstandings are cleared, the guilt should take a toll on him. I want to watch him suffer for a bit. 😆 But I don't trust the CVs, so...
Coming to Pallavi, I agree with her grudge on Raghav, but will she put some thought into the thoughtlessness of the Deshmukhs. People who can question her about an abortion, can throw her out for a fake accusation, are they even worth it. I mean it's an insult of her dedication to their dreams, and ambitions, putting herself behind them. Could they actually show thinking of herself and putting herself and her sense of pride as a woman. Can they show what Pallavi wants, instead of what Pallavi Sawant, Pallavi Deshmukh or Pallavi Rao wants?
Coming to RaghVi, Pallavi will never be the same again with Raghav when it comes to trust. Raghav will never be the same again with Pallavi when it comes to feelings. When Raghav comes to know the truth, he will have the trust and feelings overwhelming him. But will Pallavi be able to reciprocate anything as of now? I don't see it happening too soon. It will, but not now.
I mean story means character growth right. So apart from raging at each other, the focus should also be on them individually. Cause, as far I can understand, these people are focusing on Raghav's growth, cause I can see them striking at his bias against women frequently, only for it to crash on his head. As far as Pallavi is concerned, apart from the baggage of being a widow and an issue of trust, there isn't much holding her back. But they need to break her down to mould her into a better Pallavi than a doormat Pallavi.
I have little hope in CVs to actually make Pallavi realise that Deshmukhs have taken her for granted and that she's only been slaving away in that house for years. The ideal scenario would be to have Pallavi come to this realisation and decide to make most out of the situation she's in – being married to Raghav, she should work to bring both Deshmukhs and Raghav to their knees. I would love to see Pallavi grow into a confident and independent woman; she can either start her own business or take over DSE 😈.
The way this story is set, the ideal growth for Pallavi would be the realisation that she shouldn't slave away her life for her dead pati, his family or the soon-to-be pati's anger outbursts. She is her own person and has a right to everything others have–happiness, financial independence and love. I find it very fascinating that Raghav today mentioned about Pallavi being an adult, beautiful and single woman who has every right to her feelings and desires. Though he intended something else, it was very important to drive that point across to the Deshmukhs and I hope it hit a nerve.
What do you guys feel? How will this track take shape?
