Yes but majority had only first doses. But people are infected even with first dose. The thing is this time around a lot of young people are being affected below 50. And when people say numbers are low it is because of the population. Nobody sees the %. % wise it is higher then Maharashtra. I live in us now but my entire family is there and everyday on social media I see people requesting for plasma or oxygen. There are no beds in hospitals. My mom keeps telling me about deaths in known circle. A lot of tourists are also admitted in hospitals which has reduced capacity for locals. Tourists doesn’t stop though a lot of influencers and celebrities are there hanging out everywhere. Tourists refuses to wear a mask. Govt advised locals not to send kids out lol because it’s filled with tourists 😂😂😂😂
This is the same story from Kerala too, minus the tourism issue. We have a rise of Malayalee youtubers who are creating content in the midst of all this.
They've started to close vaccination clinics because they're running out of vaccine as well. We've had so much community spread and now with the double mutant variant, the transmissibility has increased so has the mortality. It's really scary that people don't take it seriously. People have become so lax when it comes to masks, even in my family, they're having engagements, weddings, and festivals. It angers me so much.
