Raji plz explain again

Spectators were not allowed, so it doesn't matter whether they play the double header on a weekday or a weekend.

The other reasons for playing double headers during weekdays and other tidbits.

  • Only 6 stadiums were selected to play all 60 matches.
  • Players need to be in a bubble hence cut down on travel.
  • Each team will have to travel to only 4 cities (one after the other, not back and forth) to play their initial 14 matches.
  • None of the teams will have a home ground advantage as no team will be playing in their home stadium/s. All matches will be played on neutral grounds.
  • That is why two qualifiers, one eliminator and final match were scheduled to play in Ahmadabad, Gujarat. Irrespective of who is going to make it to final four, that ground will be neutral for all 8 teams.
  • They may allow spectators in the later half of the tournament, but, it looks very unlikely at this stage because of the new lock down situation in India.

Cheers.....
