You know di, I actually was in Kanyakumari on 26th December 2004 ( day of the tsunami )....I was having breakfast at a nearby hotel with my family when the first wave hit the shore....we had to leave all our belongings and drive away from there...scary experience 😳

Omg scary experience..

Haan the legend says so.

Another legend is about the goddesse's nose pin. The light shining from it has been said to divert ships. So the temple authorities have closed that window of the sanctum.

Speaking of the tsunami..

There is a beach temple of Lord Karthikeya in Thiruchendur.

It's a temple beside the beach.

Notable thing is the tsunami did not damage even a single stone of the temple.

I believe in miracles..😊

And there is something about our ancient architecture, they were built in such way that no natural disasters affect them...

Kedarnath temple is also another example

Nature bhi janta hain di kisko punish karna hai aur kisko nahi... isliye sirf human targets hi hote hain

But main apne experience se bata rahi hoon di...that day on the beach, the animals were acting crazy..

There are horse rides available on the beach and the horse was violent...woh patta chudake bhag gaya... certain things I can never forget from that day..

Me too am a staunch believer..

And you're absolutely our right ancient architecture is something done with lot of insight.

I think you might have heard about the Tanjore Brighadeeshwara temple. It was constructed during the time of Raja Raja Chola. From any point of view or any direction the shadow of this temple does not fall on earth.

All the ancient temples have some significance in them.

Haan Minnie, I can imagine how it would have been at that moment.

God is great so you escaped unscathed.
