Hum sharad navratri hi karte hain.

Actually we keep Kalash and Kolu (dolls in steps of 3,5, 7 or 9)

9 days are split, 3 days each for durga, Lakshmi, saraswati.

We do prayers and parayan all 9 days.

We call ladies for haldi kumkum.

9th day we do saraswati pooja..

10th day is Vijayadashami or Dusshera.

On this day hum aarti ke baad, ek doll ko sula dete hai and then next day we can pack up everything until the next year.

Kolu kaisa hota hai, Google me images milenge, dekho then you will understand.

Kalash ka nariyal we can use for making kheer ya koi sweet.

Kalash to hamare yaha rakhte hai akhand Jyoti bhi jalate hai matlab nau din tak bhujna nahi chahiye

Humare yaha sharad ki navratri Murti ki sthapna hoti pandalo me city bhi decorated rehti hai

Jabalpur jaha me rehti hu waha ki navraatri/ dusshera bahut famous hai..

Kanya bhojan karwate hai dono hi navratri me..

Kanjak pujan bhi kehte hai jise.

Last year temples ke pujas bhi hume FB me dekhne pade no one was allowed in due to Covid Maharaj.

Generally all the 9 days Bharatanatyam, carnatic vocal music ya instrument ke concerts hote hain in every temple.

Last year nothing.

Most probably this year also nothing.

Mandir ke Bhagwaan ko bhi isolation me rehna pad raha hai.. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

It's very disheartening.

Last year navratri me maine sirf do ladies ko ghar bulaya coz of the restrictions.

Di I love love love navratri golu arrangements ❤️❤️ jab main Chennai main thi na...I would go to my colleagues places during Navratri...man I really fell in love with the creativity of golu dolls ❤️❤️ the stories and the themes that they depict 💞💞 it's just amazing

In one of my colleague's house...they had depicted the story of each avtar in the dashavataram via the golu dolls and an elaborate scene on aandaal devi kalyanam... That was by far the best one I have seen ❤️

Wow every state has their own beautiful way of celebrating.

Haan kanya bhojan we can do if we want. It's not compulsory for us.

Actually yahan Singapore me bhi our culture is celebrated very nicely. Saare traditions dekhne ko milte be it South, North, west or east.

Though I miss celebrating at our own place, traditions miss nahi hote.

Bengali association ka Durga puja also is a very grand affair here.

This is kept on the evening of Mahalay Amavas before the 1st day of Navartri begins.

Ladies just enjoy these 9 days with the puja, invites etc...

Ghar aaye ladies carnatic songs bhi gaate hai in front of the Kolu, If they wish.
