well my opinion is slight different. I guess he fell in love with a rich tycoon family girl who must be using him and something must've gone haywire and girl put fake allegations against him related to money and love ....Raghav tried to prove his innocence but couldn't as he was not rich and powerful and he got trapped badly. The tycoon family got angry leading to putting fire at Raghav's home which resulted in his father's and brother's death.Originally posted by: SONIA441
Few small things that caught my mind towards the original plot -
I understand Amma's hatred towards Raghav but I don't understand Kirti's too much. She was younger & thus cannot have understood the whole situation in her teenage years. She should be a lil okay with Raghav. Maybe.
Also, when Amma today was scolding Raghav - The camera pans on Raghav's expression & it's actually sad & torturous, when she says the line - 'Jabtak tum Pallavi jaisi masoom ladkiyon ko pareshaan karega na, hum ek chatt ke neeche kabhi nahi rehpaega' - comes back to the original plot of Raghav blaming a girl for his past.
So I think, what happened was, Raghav would have been a brilliant student (as we can already see from his business acumen)but not rich(from what I gather from the initial episodes, his family has been inclined towards arts - earned basic pay, His father played an instrument, Aunty was definitely a classic dance/Bharatnatyam Teacher - ghoonghroos that we keep seeing, and that's how even he knows how to perform well).
His intelligence would have made him friends with certain rich teenager-boys, classic MCP types. The gang would have tried to do something uncivil towards a girl & either Raghav couldn't stop them or wasn't there. So when the FIR/blame game started, they all were able to get out of it with their contacts. All except Raghav who paid the price dearly - the reason why he keeps talking about Money all the time. He lost his father & younger brother. His Mom believes he's capable of something wrong towards a girl while we clearly see till now he's never been disrespectful.
Maybe that's why even Kirti hates him cos it was a girl who had files a case & them being in a small town caused disaster to struck at their homes.
Here also, obviously, he believes Pallavi called his Amma & thinks that I always help her & she,a lady, again is trying to demean me specially infront of my Amma & sister. That's gotta hurt real bad.
Ohh! And I also forgot the fact, that he always has only guys around for all his work. Farhad is his best friend cos he can trust a guy. But you don't actually see him employing women in his ventures at all. Ofcourse, it could be related to the fact that his business schemes're risky but also cos he can't trust the gender.

After that his Amma would've disowned him and he would've pledged to become rich and powerful to seek revenge and also that no one can harm his family ever. And from that day his trust from love and girls got over.
Raghav hates girls + always talks about money so that's why I think this. Let's see what's the real story.
