Shaurya couldn't decide what he should do. Should he call Shaan? knock on the door? - that probably wasn't a very good choice given the sour relation between him and Astha.

"Its too late to drive back home now. Maybe I should see if there is any hotel that I can stay overnight until I figure out what to do next" he thought. He was hungry too.

He went back to his car and started researching where he could stay overnight. His phone rang and it was his badi ma.

"Hello badi ma, mein appko call karne hi wala tha ab" he said. "Mein Patiala aya tha aur bahut der hogayi. I am very tired, toh soch raha hoon if I should check into a hotel and come back tomorrow evening." He told her.

"That is a good idea if you still have work to do tomorrow Shaurya, make sure you eat dinner beta, good night" she hung up. She was elated that if Shaurya is not on campus, he will not meet Anokhi.

At the same time, inside Astha's house, Anokhi said "I am so sorry Astha mam, patha nahin kya hogaya mujhe, bahut miss kiya na aapko. Isliye. Mein thodi fresh hoke aati hoon" she walked towards the bathroom.

"I will see you in the morning Jaan" Shaan said to Astha trying to leave. After the divorce, he was honestly following dating guidelines and never stayed overnight with her however late it is. "Khaana khake jao. Anokhi ko bhi accha lagega" Astha said and went to kitchen to start making rotis.

While coming back from the wash room, Anokhi saw Astha mam's parents room door open and heard them talking. She gently knocked on the door and went inside. "Namaste, kaise hai aap dono?" Anokhi greeted them. She had met them number of times before and was at ease with them.

"Arre Anokhi, tum kab aayi, hum theek hai, sab theek chal raha hai college mein?" Astha's mom inquired.

"Haanji " Anokhi replied.

Astha's dad was trying to pick up his glasses from the bed side table and it fell on the ground.

"Yeh aapko kya hua hai aaj? sab gira rahe ho" Astha's mom bickered.

Anokhi went and picked it up and gave it to him. She thought he might want to read a book and turned on the lamp.

He gave her a smile, that is when she noticed that it was lopsided.

And he was struggling to put his glasses on. "Sir ji, mujhe dekhiye aur mere haath pakadiye " she gave him her hand.

Astha's mother chuckled, "yeh tumhe kya hogaya hai Anokhi"

"Aap ko kuch ajeeb feel hora ha hai aaj sir ji? Aapki tabiyat theek hai?".

"Om haan" he kind of slurred.

"Aapka naam kya hai sir ji? kya aap bata sakte hai?" she asked him.

Now the woman was looking at Anokhi as if she was crazy.

"ladkljlkj;ljl;jl;jl" he muttered.

Anokhi ran outside the room.

"Mam, hume abhi aapke bauji ko hospital leke jaana hoga, I think he is getting a stroke or have already got a light one" she turned off the stove and looked at Astha.

"Yeh kya bol rahi ho tum, bauji to theek the" Astha was confused.

"Nahin, unka smile lopsided hogaya hai, woh slur kar rahe hain and sab kuch gir raha hain unke haathonse. He needs the medicine before 24 hours of stroke happening, der na hojaye"

Anokhi finished.

Astha had gone white in worry. Shaan, who had heard everything came saying let's take him in my car.

"Nahin Shaan sir. agar hum ambulance bulayenge, to priority se unki checkup hogi, mein call karoon? Car mein leke jayenge toh wait karni padegi udhar, humare paas wakt nahin hai. "

She looked at Astha for permission holding phone ready in hand to call for an ambulance.

Astha, who knew her student's common sense levels nodded.

She thought "Agar Anokhi ki shak galat hai to kuch nahin hoga, ek checkup hojayegi, bas. Agar woh sahi hai aur hum log kuch nahin karenge, to baat bigad sakti hai" She rushed to get ready.

"I will go with you " Shaan said. "Lekin Beeji akeli pad jayegi, aur shayad dar jayegi" Astha was worried about her mother.

"Aap log Sir ji ko leke jayiye. Astha mam, aap ambulance mein jayiye aur Shaan sir, aap apni gaadi mein follow keejiye. Mein rahoongi aapke beeji ke saath. Fikar mat keejiye. Agar mera shak sahin hai toh sir ji ko ICU mein rakhenge. Aur aap toh udhar nahin rehsakti. Shaan sir could bring you back home once Sir ji is stable" Anokhi took charge of the situation.

Outside when Shaurya was about to start the car, he heard the sirens of ambulance and it stopped right next to Shaan's parked car.

"Yeh ladki pagal hoke kuch ulta seedha na kar baite?" he thought, then "Nahin, Anokhi itni samajhdar ladki hai, woh kyun karegi aise? Jo ACP ki band bajasakti hai, woh aise waise kuch nahin karegi" he calmed himself.

Within minutes, a stretcher was taken inside and few more minutes later, he saw Shaan getting into the car, Astha into the ambulance with whoever was on the stretcher. "Yeh kya horaha hai? Dad ko call karoon?" he thought and immediately dialed Shaan's number. But Shaan didn't even bother to look at the phone and didn't pick up.

"Yeh kya baat hai Dad, come on pick up, I can see you are not picking up my call, damn it" he was losing it.

Ambulance drove away and Shaan did too.

Shaurya started the car and was about to follow when he saw someone come out of the house and close the gate that was left open - "Anokhi " he left out his breath and collapsed against the seat of the car. Turned off the engine and tried to think through the problem.

Inside the house, Anokhi did her best to calm the elderly lady and warmed some milk for her. Astha's mom was so tired that she drifted off to sleep pretty soon.

Anokhi texted Astha to let her know everything is under control and asked her to keep her updated, however late it is.

Shaurya decided "bahut hogaya ab, mein andar ja raha hoon, kuch bhi hojaye I don't care" and rang the bell.

"Who is coming at this time? " Anokhi was a bit scared and asked "Kaun hai?" without opening the door.

"Anokhi, open the damn door. mujhe dekhna hai ki tum theek ho" Shaurya said.

"Ghar mein koi nahin hai Sir, aap please jayiye. Mein darwaza nahin khol sakti" She didn't want to let him in.

"Agar tum darwaza nahin khologi, toh mein bahut shor machaonga, I just want to talk to you for few minutes and then I will be on my way, you promised me that you will never leave college" he reminded her.

"College kaun chod raha hai? " Anokhi was surprised " Mein toh sirf aapko PS bulana chod rahi hoon, aap jayiye Sir" Anokhi was hurt.

Shaurya started banging the door. Anokhi thought "Astha mam ki beeji uthegi toh bahut problem hogayega" and opened the door.

"aap pagal hogaye ho Sir, yeh kaunsa tareeka hai?" she was mad.

"Chup. joh mein bolne jaraha hoon, woh sunlo chup chaap, uske baad I will leave." Shaurya had enough of the torture.

"Ek important baat hai. Meri engagement hone wali thi Shagun ke saath last year. Woh break hogaya, woh jo holi mein tumne dekha, woh wahi thi. Mujhe patha bhi nahin wo kab aayi wapas. Meine toh by mistake usse rang lagaya. Maine dekha nahin ki woh tum nahin thi Anokhi " he was sincere.

"Maine aaj tak kisi ladki keliye aisi feel nahin kiya jaise mein tumhare liye feel karta hoon. I really like you Anokhi, I hope you already know that" He held her hands pleadingly.

"Mujhe Sir nahin, PS nahin Shaurya bula sakte ho please? Agar tum nahin ho, toh mujhe patha nahin mein kya karoonga" he continued.

Anokhi was quiet. "Agar tum kuch kaho na kaho lekin yeh jaanlo ki Shagun ke saath mera koi rishta nahin hai aur kabhi hogi bhi nahin." He dropped her hands, "Mujhe jo bolna that woh maine boldiya, I can't do anything else right now, so I am leaving, Bye and I am sorry for hurting you un intentionally."

He took a step towards the door. "Tum wapas aaogi na SIAC? pakka?" he wanted to make sure everything was not lost.

Anokhi nodded. "Shaurya? aap ne khana khaliya? " she said very slowly.

Shaurya halted and turned slowly and nodded his head in a "NO" and a small smile started and became an ear to ear grin. "Thank you Anokhi" he said and was about to hug her when Astha's mom came out and asked "Anokhi, kaun hai darwaze pe?" she walked slowly towards them.

Shaurya looked at the elderly lady, bent down and touched her feet. "Mein Shaurya, aapka pota Naani"

that was the scene Shaan and Astha encountered when they entered the house. When Astha was shocked Shaan had the biggest grin ever, "Agar koi humari zindagi ko phir se theek karde, woh Anokhi hi ho sakti hai. Akhi beta mera hai, taste bhi similar hai, lekin iss baar history repeat nahin hogi" He had made up his made to support this too good to be true girl whatever is the case.
