They are trying to follow the original track here. Shagun (Shreshtha is a really bad and painful character) she is there even after the actual wedding happens, I hated that character. Now it will be Anokhi crying most of the times, humiliation and all. Not a fan of these things.

Even then Devi says I know shaurya ache se. she indeed does not want to believe that Shaurya can go against her. Shaurya is remote operated guy for her. Shagun knows him way better than her even said to Devi get him married to that girl. But devi sees it as her defeat to Astha. Shaurya is her ego and a trophy not the son. Devi does not want to accept it and neither wants to give up. What Shagun does not get is that she has been used by Devi for her self interest.
