Your friend's MIL sounds very much like Devi. Because it's clear that for Devi, she needs to be the center of Shaurya's world. The second that his attention goes to anyone else, she doesn't like it. She gave birth to twins and the husband left her in the car infront of her parents house with the babies. They just turned 1 and his mum hasn't been to see them just cz our relative chose to stay at her parents bfr and after the birth.

Yes! I remember this scene where Shaan tells her that no matter what Shaurya would have sought his blessings before saying yes to a proposal brought by Devi and she didn't like it at all!
