Nikki sahi class leti hai uski. Keeps him grounded. Professor, director, ladla hoga apne Sabharwal khaandan ka, par nikki ke toh aage peeche bhaagna hi padega. Aur galti karega toh fir manane mein papad toh belne hi padenge.

I really liked his dialogue which was something like chaar baatein galat karta hu toh 8 baatein suna bhi deti ho.

How this relates to Shaurya- is that kn the realife scenario, the wife earned more than the guy. But the mother inlaw wasn't interested in the earning and position- if she has hold on her son then she has hold on his family.

Devi gives me those vibes. If she can keep hold on Shaurya- it doesn't matter who is in his life and wether he's happy or not.... but if he looses himself to someone then she looses it all

Your friend's MIL sounds very much like Devi. Because it's clear that for Devi, she needs to be the center of Shaurya's world. The second that his attention goes to anyone else, she doesn't like it. Forget about Anokhi, she didn't even like it when Shaurya was attending to Shaan when he was broken up over Aastha's disappearance. Shaurya and her have had a very toxic relationship of attachment where they feed each other's need to be a priority. I think Devi didn't get that importance from Tej in the house so for her, so she got that importance from Shaurya. And she is totally unwilling to share him with anyone, even his own parents.
