Ki agar Malini ko instantly truth bataa do, tabhi honesty hai warna there is no honesty at all. But the situation is just not that simple....still, Adi tries in whatever way possible to be honest to the capacity that is possible right now....he isn't leading Malini on either but at the same time not backing down from showing the honesty of what he feels for Imlie either.....yehi baat people can't digest ki koi in dono cheezon ke liye simultaneously honest ho sakta hai
How many times has Adi tried to tell Malini the truth and I am not even talking about some token gestures. He tried a lot of times in the beginning, once she fainted, then Imlie stopped, other times situations were such he could not say it. This was when he considered his marriage with Imlie to be jhooth. Then when he finally realized his feelings for Imlie he wanted to tell Malini but she had already fainted 😆 Last episode Malini did ask him to say it clearly what is wrong. This time Adi was wrong in not telling her the truth but no matter however you try this is the most difficult truth to just blurt it out like that. Again Adis honesty comes out in the way he defends Imlie at every point now and also how he doesn’t lie to Malini just so that she stops doubting her. Even after she said it so many times, he did not call her Moon , just for the sake of it. This is as you said twisted honesty. Even someone as dense as Malini ( agar ise kuchh chhupana ho then its very easy as she doesn’t want to know the truth) can figure out Adi has completely detached from her.
Dekha jaaye toh Adi technically is not answering Malini's questions right now but he isn't exactly lying to her either ki sab normal hai, sab theek hai....wouldn't that actually be cheating if he was giving her that impression? But no, people want to slot it all into easy labels warna sab kuch dismissed.
Word !! It would be a cake walk to fool Malini who lived her entire life with her parents and see them fighting day and night and her mom accusing her dad of living a double life and yet never even thought of asking her dad ke apne kya kaand kiya tha. 😆
And Adi is definitely NOT allowed to be happy even for a moment with Imlie unless he tells Malini everything....lol jaise insaan nahin, robot hai. Again, no one is saying his approach is the correct one...he should resolve all issues, yes....but at the same time, it's also understandable why he wants to give Imlie that honesty about his emotions for her that he hasn't given her in a long time....it's long overdue.
Exactly they want him to behave as if he is a robot. His approach is definitely not correct par aisa bhi nahi hai ke uske paas bohot saare options hai to deal with this tangled web of a situation.
Adi knows what happened with Meethi and repercussions on Imlies childhood because of that. Now he finds himself in the same position and he cannot be like spineless Dev and watch everything like a mute spectator. All this makes it even more compelling for him to tell Imlie about his emotions and feelings for her.
Malini didi and honesty? hahaha arey yeh kya bol diya....unko sab allowed hai cuz she is the only victim in this situation....there is no expectation that she ever be honest to herself and isn't really capable of hearing Adi's truth....sab dikhaava hai.

Malini ka toh puchho mat jo justifications I was made to read....usmein bhi people either want to do horrible name calling for her or defend her blindly....koi middle ground hi nahin in discussions. I don't believe in cheap name calling but I express how I feel disgusted and put off from Malini ke faltu guilt trips/martyr acts now.....baaki forum mein kuch bolne ka point nahin since most people want to twist and deviate discussions faltu mein
Malini really disgusted me when she told Adi , sunliya maa ne nahi kaha tha Imlie khud yaha apni marzi se khane baithi. 😡 It was the disdain and the tone that really got me that time. That was simply disgusting. She should have asked Imlie who she says she considers her sister to come and sit with them and should have said sorry. The main issue with Adi and Malini is Tripathys are grounded and real people while Chaturvedis are fake and superficial. Dam ghootne lage if you have to stay with such people. 🥱
Btw dunno if you saw yesterday's epi but man, Mayuri's acting was BAD in it....especially the voice modulation as she was using this crying waali tone to whine about Aditya was just CRINGE, man
